The ''Gascony Show'' is an English-language radio chat show aired in the southwest of France and a flagship Sunday evening programme broadcast on Radio Coteaux"Emissions thématiques sur le site officiel de radio coteaux, frequences 104.4 et 97.7 FM" By Patrick Martinez, Radio Coteaux in the Gascony region. The show is presented by Irishman John Slattery. The show John Slattery takes over the airwaves at 5pm and finishes at 7pm with a handover to Patrick Martinez. Saint-Blancard
Saint-Blancard (; Gascon: Sent Blancat) is a commune in the Gers department in the Occitanie region in southwestern France. Geography Localisation Saint-Blancard is located on the ridge between the valley of the Gimone in the east and the valley of the Arrats in the west . The D228 crosses the D576 in the village. Auch is at 40 km, Toulouse at 80 km and Tarbes at 60 km from Saint-Blancard. Hydrography The Arrats runs in the west of the commune. South of the village is a small lake for the farmers. Gascony
Gascony (; french: Gascogne ; oc, Gasconha ; eu, Gaskoinia) was a province of the southwestern Kingdom of France that succeeded the Duchy of Gascony (602–1453). From the 17th century until the French Revolution (1789–1799), it was part of the combined Province of Guyenne and Gascony. The region is vaguely defined, and the distinction between Guyenne and Gascony is unclear; by some they are seen to overlap, while others consider Gascony a part of Guyenne. Most definitions put Gascony east and south of Bordeaux. Peter Gabriel
Peter Brian Gabriel (born 13 February 1950) is an English musician, singer, songwriter, record producer, and activist. Operation Julie
Operation Julie was a UK police investigation into the production of LSD by two drug rings during the mid-1970s. The operation, involving 11 police forces over a -year period, resulted in the break-up of one of the largest LSD manufacturing operations in the world. It culminated in 1977 with enough LSD to make 6.5 million 'tabs' with a then street value of £100m (equivalent to £ today) being seized, 120 people arrested in the UK and France and over £800,000 discovered in Swiss bank accounts. Background The two LSD rings broken up by Operation Julie had begun life as one organisation. Its founders were David Solomon, an author, and Richard Kemp, a chemist, who first successfully synthesized LSD in 1969.
