Gary McDonald (footballer Born 1982)
Gary Matthew McDonald (born 10 April 1982 in Irvine, North Ayrshire) is a Scottish professional footballer who last played for Scottish Junior club Kilwinning Rangers. He also played for Kilmarnock, Oldham Athletic, Aberdeen, Hamilton Academical, Morecambe, St Johnstone and Peterhead. Club career McDonald started his career at Kilmarnock, playing there for five seasons between 2001 and 2006, where he played in 106 league matches, scoring 11 goals. On 18 June 2006, McDonald signed for English League One side Oldham Athletic, becoming John Sheridan's first signing as Oldham manager. On 5 January 2008, McDonald scored from in Oldham's 1–0 win over Premier League side Everton in the third round of the FA Cup. Interviewed on ''Match of the Day'' after the match, McDonald described the goal as the best of his career. In late April 2008, McDonald agreed a pre-contract to sign for Aberdeen in the summer. In sport, a cap is a player's appearance in a game at international level. The term dates from the practice in the United Kingdom of awarding a cap to every player in an international match of rugby football and association football. In the early days of football, the concept of each team wearing a set of matching shirts had not been universally adopted, so each side would distinguish itself from the other by wearing a specific sort of cap. The 2014 Scottish Cup Final was the 129th final of the Scottish Cup, the most prestigious knockout football competition in Scotland. Rosenborg Ballklub, commonly referred to simply as Rosenborg () or RBK, is a Norwegian professional football club from Trondheim that plays in Eliteserien. Mark Kerr (footballer)
Mark Kerr (born 2 March 1982) is a Scottish professional football player and coach. Kerr started his career with Falkirk in 1998, and later played for Dundee United (appearing in two major finals with the club) and Aberdeen before joining Asteras Tripolis in Greece. On Returning to Scotland, Kerr played for Dunfermline Athletic, Dundee, Partick Thistle and Queen of the South before rejoining Falkirk in 2015. He made one appearance for the Scotland B team in 2005. In October 2019, Kerr was appointed player/manager of Ayr United. He left this position on 28 February 2021 by mutual consent.
