Gary Assous
Gary Meir Mordechai Assous ( he, גרי מאיר מרדכי אסוס; born 4 March 1988) is a French-Israeli professional footballer. He is currently contracted with Hapoel Katamon Jerusalem. Biography Gary grew up in France in a Jewish family along with his brother Jonathan. Gary originally was part of the youth system of Paris Saint-Germain before he sustained a major injury. He continued through the youth ranks of AC Ajaccio before moving down to then Championnat club, AS Cannes. Arrival to Israel Assous arrived in Israel after his brother spent a season with Maccabi Tel Aviv and joined the Maccabi Netanya youth team for a trial. After impressing during a training match between the youth and full teams, Assous was signed by Netanya to a three-year contract starting at $40,000 a year. Sarcelles
Sarcelles () is a commune in the northern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located from the centre of Paris. Sarcelles is a sub-prefecture of the Val-d'Oise department and the seat of the arrondissement of Sarcelles. In the south of the commune, during the 1950s and 1960s, vast housing estates were built in order to accommodate ''pieds-noirs'' (French settlers from Algeria) and Jews who had left Algeria due to its war of independence. Liga Leumit ( he, ליגה לאומית, lit. ''National League'') is the second division of the Israeli Football League, and below its Premier League. Structure There are 16 clubs in the league. At the end of each season, the two lowest-placed teams are relegated to Liga Alef while the two highest-placed teams from Liga Alef are promoted in their place.
