Garry Spiegle
Garry Floyd Spiegle (August 12, 1945 in Fairfield, Alabama – June 25, 2018) was a game designer who worked primarily on role-playing games. Career After the original Dragonlance group began, the Dragonlance Series Design Team was later expanded to also include Margaret Weis, Douglas Niles, Bruce Nesmith, Mike Breault, Roger Moore, Laura Hickman, Linda Bakk, Michael Dobson and Garry Spiegle. Between 1983 and 1984, approximately 200 people left TSR as a result of multiple rounds of layoffs; as a result Spiegle joined CEO John Rickets, as well as Mark Acres, Andria Hayday, Gaye Goldsberry O'Keefe, Gali Sanchez, Carl Smith, Stephen D. Fairfield, Alabama
Fairfield is a city in western Jefferson County, Alabama, United States. It is part of the Birmingham metropolitan area and is located southeast of Pleasant Grove. The population was 11,117 at the 2010 census. History This city was founded in 1910 in which the featured speaker at the dedication ceremony was former President Theodore Roosevelt. It was originally named Corey, after an executive of U.S. Steel Corporation. The name was later changed to the city in which the President of U.S. Steel lived, Fairfield, Connecticut. It was planned as a model city by the Tennessee Coal, Iron and Railroad Company to house workers in their new Fairfield Works plant, now owned by U.S. Steel, similar to its northeastern city of Ensley. A dungeon is a room or cell in which prisoners are held, especially underground. Dungeons are generally associated with medieval castles, though their association with torture probably belongs more to the Renaissance period. An oubliette (from french ''oublier'' meaning to ''forget'') or bottle dungeon is a basement room which is accessible only from a hatch or hole (an ''angstloch'') in a high ceiling. Victims in oubliettes were often left to starve and dehydrate to death, making the practice akin to—and some say an actual variety of—immurement. ''The Cleansing War of Garik Blackhand'' (also known by its catalogue number, ''GW3'') is an adventure published by TSR in 1983 for the second edition of the science fiction role-playing game ''Gamma World''. Plot summary In the post-apocalyptic future setting of ''Gamma World'', the player characters are members of the primitive White Feathers, a mixture of humans, humanoids and mutant animals who live in the area of today's Yellowstone Park. The White Feathers are in the midst of peace negotiations with the rival Gray Rocks when the parley is disrupted by the local chapter of the pure-human Knights of Purity led by Garik Blackhand. Members of the Gray Rocks suddenly attack members of the White Feathers, accusing them of being in league with the Knights of Purity. In the chaos, the White Feathers' shaman is mortally wounded. ''Gamma World'' is a science fantasy role-playing game, originally designed by James M. Ward and Gary Jaquet, and first published by TSR in 1978. Pacesetter Ltd was a game company based in Delavan, Wisconsin, founded in 1984.
