Gangvaa
''Gangvaa'' is a 1984 Indian Hindi-language film directed by Rajasekhar, starring Rajinikanth and Shabana Azmi. It is a remake of Rajasekhar's 1983 Tamil film ''Malaiyoor Mambattiyan''. Plot The basic injustice at the core of ''Gangvaa'' is the way the landed classes take advantage of ordinary village folk. Early on in the film, a work crew finds a pot full of gold coins and Thakur Mahendra Singh (Amrish Puri) confiscates them to add to his already massive wealth. Enter Gangvaa (Rajnikanth) to save the day; Gangvaa kills Zamindar and his goons. Gangvaa puts together a band of the men who had suffered under the Zamindar's tyranny. Together they hang out in the wilderness and perform Robin-Hood-esque raids for the sake of vigilante justice. At some point Jamna (Shabana Azmi) encounters Gangvaa and is smitten. Rajasekhar (director)
Rajasekhar (died 1991), often credited as Rajasekhar Bachelor of Science, B.Sc., was an Indian film director and producer of Tamil cinema, Kollywood during the 1980s. He also directed films in Telugu language, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi. Career Rajasekhar was born in Nattarasankottai in then Ramanathapuram district and was a Bachelor of Science graduate. Raza Murad
Raza Murad (born 23 November 1950) is an Indian actor who appears primarily in Hindi films. He has over 250 Bollywood film credits. Murad has also appeared in Bhojpuri and other regional-language films and on Hindi television. Early life He is the son of the Bollywood character actor Hamid Ali Murad. Dulari (real name Ambika Gautam) (18 April 1928 – 18 January 2013) was an Indian actress, who worked as character actor in Hindi cinema, appearing in 135 films, most notably ''Jab Pyar Kisi Se Hota Hai'' (1961), ''Mujhe Jeene Do'' (1963), ''Teesri Kasam'' (1966), ''Padosan'' (1968) and ''Deewaar'' (1975).
