Galyang Municipality
Galyang ( ne, गल्याङ) is a Municipality in Syangja District in Gandaki Province, central Nepal. On 12 March 2017, the government of Nepal implemented the new local administrative structure consisting of 744 local units. With the implementation of this new local administrative structure, VDCs have been replaced with village councils. Galyang is one of these 744 local municipal units. Galyang is created by merging Malunga, Jagatradevi, (1-6,9) Wards of Pakwadi, (1,6-9) Wards of Tindobate, Tulsibhanjyang, Nibuwakharka, Pindikhola, Batuwa & (1-4,7-9) Wards of Pelakot. Political situation Galyang is divided into 11 Wards. It is surrounded by Parbat District on the north, Chapakot Municipality & Waling on the east, Kaligandaki and Gulmi District one the west and Palpa District on the south. The Central Bureau of Statistics ( ne, केन्द्रीय तथाङ्क विभाग) is the central agency for the collection, consolidation, processing, analysis, publication and dissemination of statistics in Nepal. One of its core tasks is to research and publish censuses of Nepal, the most prominent one being the overall population census and Demographics of Nepal. Malunga
The ''malunga'' is a single-stringed musical bow played by the Siddi of India, who are the descendants of East African immigrants. It produces two tones, an octave apart, and the knuckle of the hand supporting the instrument may be pressed against the string to vary the pitch. It is struck with a stick and, as with the ''berimbau'' of Brazil, the hand holding the stick also holds a rattle (in the case of the ''malunga'' the rattle, called ''mai misra''). The ''malunga'' has a gourd resonator which amplifies the instrument's sound. The placement of this rattle along the string also varies the pitch produced by the Malunga. Construction The bow is made of solid-core bamboo cane, and the string is made of three twisted strands of gut. The gourd resonator is made from a coconut shell and is a mobile part of the instrument. Gulmi District ( ne, गुल्मी जिल्ला), a part of Lumbini Province, is one of the seventy-seven districts of Nepal. Kaligandaki is a Gaunpalika, Rural municipality located within the Gulmi District of the Lumbini Province of Nepal. The rural municipality spans of area, with a total population of 18,876 according to a 2011 Nepal census. Waling
Waling (वालिङ नगरपालिका) Municipality, the heart of Syangja, is a small valley covered with hills formed on 27 January 1997 by merging of the then three VDCs namely Waling, Dhanubase and Pekhubaaghkhor. Chapakot Municipality
Chapakot ( ne, चापाकोट) is a municipality in the southeastern part of Syangja District in Gandaki Province of central Nepal. The new municipality was formed by merging three existing villages— Ratnapur, Kuwakot and Chapakot—on 18 May 2014. In 12 March 2017 The government implemented the new local administrative structure consisting of 744 local units. With the implementation of this new local administrative structure, the old structure will no longer be in existence. According to the new structure, VDCs will be replaced with village councils. Parbat District ( ne, :ne:पर्वत जिल्ला, पर्वत जिल्ला , is a hilly area of Nepal. It is a part of Gandaki Province and one of the seventy-seven districts of Nepal.
