Galerie Ror Volmar or Ror Volmar Gallery was an influential art gallery located at 58 Rue de Bourgogne in the 7th arrondissement of Paris. The gallery specialized in contemporary figurative painters. In 1970, ''Art International'' reported that the gallery had been "holding an exhibition of paintings unusual both in content and treatment." Ukrainian painter Liuboslav Hutsaliuk held his first exhibition at the gallery in 1956. Tamara de Lempicka showcased at the gallery from 30 May to 17 June, 1961. Durnad Rosé showcased at the gallery from 10 to 23 November, 1967. In 1977, the gallery honored Marcel Anselme. ''Ruta graveolens'', commonly known as rue, common rue or herb-of-grace, is a species of ''Ruta'' grown as an ornamental plant and herb. It is native to the Balkan Peninsula. ''Art International'' known as ''Art International Magazine'', was an art journal based in Switzerland and issued 10 times per year. James A. Fitzsimmons was the magazine's chief editor and publisher. Liuboslav Hutsaliuk
Liuboslav Hutsaliuk (first name also variously spelled Lubomyr, Luboslau, Ljuboslav, or shortened to Lubo and surname also spelled Hucaljuk) (2 April 1923 in Lviv – 16 December 2003 in New York City) was a Ukrainian-American painter, graphic artist, cartoonist and caricaturist. Along with Edward Kozak, Mykola Butovich and Michael Moroz, Hutsaliuk was cited in 1972 as amongst the best known of Ukrainian painters living in the United States, and mentioned as "becoming increasingly popular". In 1982, he was again mentioned as one of Ukraine's "first rate artists" living in the United States. Tamara De Lempicka
Tamara Łempicka (born Tamara Rosalia Gurwik-Górska; 16 May 1898 – 18 March 1980), better known as Tamara de Lempicka, was a Polish painter who spent her working life in France and the United States. She is best known for her polished Art Deco portraits of aristocrats and the wealthy, and for her highly stylized paintings of nudes. Born in Warsaw, Lempicka briefly moved to Saint Petersburg where she married Tadeusz Łempicki, a prominent Polish lawyer, then travelled to Paris. She studied painting with Maurice Denis and André Lhote. Her style was a blend of late, refined cubism and the neoclassical style, particularly inspired by the work of Jean-Dominique Ingres. She was an active participant in the artistic and social life of Paris between the wars. Marcel Anselme (1925–1982) was a French painter and engraver, and held the position of official portrait painter for Archbishop Makarios of Cyprus for several years. In 1948, he met Léon Garraud, a master of the Lyon School and attended his workshop. In 1962, Anselm met Nicos Dikheos, Consul of Cyprus in Lyon. The diplomat was struck by the talent of the young painter and introduced him to Archbishop Makarios, President of the Republic of Cyprus. Jean Fernand (born 19 November 1948) is a French impressionist painter, lithographer, sculptor and illustrator. History Jean Fernand was born in 1948 in Orly, south of Paris. His parents, who were Parisians, managed an industrial laundry. When he left the primary school, Jean Fernand passed his launderer certificate; he was therefore destined to take up the family business. His grandfather was a painter who also lacquered Napoleon's tomb, so Fernand was already very interested in painting and drawing since childhood. At the age of 16, he began to paint.
