Gail Griffin
Gail Griffin is an American politician and a Republican member of the Arizona House of Representatives. She previously served in the Arizona Senate representing District 14 from 2013 to 2019. Griffin served consecutively in the Arizona Senate in the District 20 seat from January 10, 2011, until January 14, 2013, but served non-consecutively in the Arizona State Legislature from January 1997 until January 2001 in the Arizona House of Representatives District 8 seat. In 2019 Griffin proposed a bill to fund a US-Mexican border wall by levying a tax on Arizonans who look at pornography. Arizona Corporation Commission
The Arizona Corporation Commission is the Public Utilities Commission of the State of Arizona, established by Article 15 of the Arizona Constitution. Arizona is one of only fourteen states with elected commissioners. The Arizona Constitution explicitly calls for an elected commission, as opposed to a governor-appointed commission, which is the standard in most states, because its drafters feared that governors would appoint industry-friendly officials. Pat Fleming (politician)
Patricia 'Pat' V. Fleming (born March 10, 1949, in Mexico, Missouri) is an American politician and a former Democratic member of the Arizona House of Representatives for District 25. She lives in Sierra Vista, Arizona. The seat was previously held by a Republican, Jennifer Burns, who did not seek re-election. Fleming was previously a member of the Arizona Democratic Party State Committee and was selected to chair the Cochise County Democratic Party in 2006. Before her entrance into politics, she worked for the US Army as a budget analyst and a manpower allocations analyst. She retired in August 2005 with over 24 years of service. Arizona Senate
The Arizona State Senate is part of the Arizona Legislature, the state legislature of the US state of Arizona. The Senate consists of 30 members each representing an average of 219,859 constituents (2009 figures). Members serve two-year terms with term limits that limit Senators to four terms for a total of eight years. Members of the Republican Party are currently the majority in the Senate. There is currently 16 women serving in the Senate after Raquel Terán was appointed, making it the first time a majority of the body was composed of female members. As with the Arizona House of Representatives, members to the Senate are elected from the same legislative districts as House members, however one Senator represents the constituency, while for the House there are two Representatives per district.
