Gadari Kishore
Gadari Kishore Kumar (born 16 December 1985) is an Indian politician from Telangana. He is currently representing Thungathurthi Assembly constituency. He belongs to Telangana Rashtra Samithi. Early life Gadari Kishore was born in Nalgonda in Nalgonda district, Telangana to Maraiah. He attended AP Residential School, Servail, Nalgonda from 1990-96. He did his Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication (MCJ) at Osmania University in 2006. He joined to pursue his doctorate in 2010 and received his doctorate in Journalism and Mass Communication in 2017. He actively participated in Telangana movement as student leader at OUJAC, Osmania University. He is known for his oratorial skills. Bharat Rashtra Samithi ( ; BRS), formerly known as Telangana Rashtra Samithi ( TRS), is an Indian political party which is predominantly active in the state of Telangana. It was founded on 27 April 2001 as by K. Chandrashekar Rao, with a single-point agenda of creating a separate Telangana state with Hyderabad as its capital. It has been instrumental in carrying forth a sustained agitation for the granting of statehood to Telangana. In the 2014 Telangana Assembly Election, the party won a majority of seats and formed the first government of the State with K. Chandrashekar Rao as its chief minister. Telangana Movement
The Telangana movement refers to a movement for the creation of a separate state, Telangana, from the pre-existing state of Andhra Pradesh in India. The new state corresponds to the Telugu-speaking portions of the erstwhile princely state of Hyderabad, which were merged with Andhra Pradesh in 1956, leading to the Mulki Agitations. After decades of protests and agitations, the central government, under the United Progressive Alliance, decided to bifurcate the existing Andhra Pradesh state and on 2 June 2014, the Union Cabinet unilaterally cleared the bill for the creation of Telangana. 2014 Telangana Legislative Assembly Election
The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, 2014 took place on 30 April and 7 May 2014 to elect members to the legislatures of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. It was held concurrently with the Indian general election. The results were declared on 16 May 2014. The Telugu Desam Party led by N. Chandrababu Naidu won a majority of the 175 seats in the rump Andhra Pradesh, while Telangana Rashtra Samithi led by K. Chandrashekar Rao won in the new state of Telangana. 2018 Telangana Legislative Assembly Election
The Telangana Legislative Assembly election was held in Telangana on 7 December 2018 to constitute the second Legislative Assembly since the formation of the state in 2014. The incumbent Telangana Rashtra Samithi, the Indian National Congress, BJP, Telangana Jana Samithi, and Telugu Desam Party were the main contestants in the election. Four opposition parties in the state, INC, TJS, TDP and CPI announced the formation of a 'Maha Kootami' (Grand Alliance), to defeat the ruling TRS in the elections.
