Hub ( ur, ) is a city and capital of the Hub District in Balochistan, Pakistan. It is the 49th largest city of Pakistan by population according to the 2017 census, and is also Balochistan's fourth-largest city. Hub is an industrial city and its original name was Hub Chowki because once there was a police and customs check post (which is known as chowki in Urdu), named Nakahi. Hub Dam
Hub Dam ( ur, ) is a reservoir on the Hub River. It is situated 56 km from Karachi, Karachi city in Karachi and Hub District on Sindh and Balochistan, Pakistan, Balochistan provinces border. The dam is extended to 24300 acres with gross storage capacity of 857000 acre feet. It is the Pakistan's third-largest dam (source?). It is an important source that provides the drinking water to the metropolitan city Karachi. In 1974, the government of Sindh declared the area around dam as a wildlife sanctuary. The sanctuary is about 27219 hectors in size. It is favorable area for feeding and nesting for Crane (bird), Cranes, Pelican, Pelicans, Duck, Ducks and Waders. Hub District ( Balochi , ur, ), is a coastal administrative district of Balochistan Province, Pakistan. Hub District is created after bifurcating Lasbela District in 2022. Sardar Muhammad Saleh Bhootani confirmed that the creation of Hub District is a long-standing demand of the people of PB-49 constituency. Economy Of Balochistan, Pakistan
The economy of Balochistan, one of the four provinces of Pakistan, is largely based upon the production of natural gas, coal, and minerals. Agriculture and livestock also dominate the Baloch economy. Horticultural development is a fairly recent, yet growing phenomenon. Other important economic sectors include fisheries, mining, manufacturing industries, trade and other services being rendered by public and private sector organizations in the province. Outside Quetta, the infrastructure of the province is gradually developing but still lags far behind other parts of the country.
