Gabriel Company (cyclist)
Gabriel Company Bauzá (born 16 May 1930 in Sant Joan, Mallorca) is a Spanish former racing cyclist. In 1958 he won the Vuelta a Andalucía. He also finished 6th overall and won a stage of the 1955 Vuelta a España, and won a second stage in 1961. Euskal Bizikleta (Spanish: ''Bicicleta Vasca'', English: ''Basque Bicycle'') was an annual road bicycle racing, road cycling stage race held in the Basque Country (autonomous community), Basque Country in June. From 2005 to 2008, the race was organized as a 2.HC event on the UCI Europe Tour. In 2009, it was merged with the Tour of the Basque Country. The first race was held in 1952, but it has only been called Euskal Bizikleta since 1991. The first winner (1952) was Louis Caput from France. The first winner of the 'modern' Euskal Bizikleta (1991) was Gianni Bugno. The most recent edition (2008) was won by Eros Capecchi from Italy. The Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana (; en, Tour of the Valencian Community or Tour of Valencia) is a road cycling stage race held in the Valencian Community (''Comunitat Valenciana''), Spain. Its position in the cycling calendar means it is often used as preparation for the spring classics or the grand tours which take place later in the season. No editions of the race were held between 2008 and 2015 because of funding issues. A first attempt to revive it for the 2010–11 UCI Europe Tour was unsuccessful. During 2015 a second attempt was started by Ángel Casero and his brother Rafael. In September the UCI granted the race a 2.1 status and made way for the return of the race which took place in early February. Vuelta Asturias is a professional cycle road race held in Spain in early May each year. The event was first run in 1925 but has not been held consistently until 1968 to present. Since 2005, the race has been organised as a 2.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour. On 25 April 2014, the Vuelta Asturias was suspended one week before its start due to the lack of funds and sponsors.
