History GEC was created to unite the school systems in the seven districts of Gedo region. Gedo Region's seven school districts are Beled Hawo, Bardera, Buurdhuubo, Doolow, El Wak, Somalia, El Wak, Garbaharey and Luuq. Background For more than a decade, starting mid 1990s, disconnected schools appeared all across Gedo region. In electrical engineering, ground or earth is a reference point in an electrical circuit from which voltages are measured, a common return path for electric current, or a direct physical connection to the Earth.
