Fúlvio Chiantia de Assis is a Brazilian-Italian professional basketball player currently with the NBB team Bauru. He plays at the point guard (play maker) position. Professional career De Assis has played professional basketball in Brazil, Italy, and Spain and has represented Brazil's national basketball team on several occasions. During his time with São José, he became a fan favorite. National team career De Assis has been a member of the senior Brazilian national basketball team. He played at the 2017 FIBA AmeriCup. NBB All-Star Game
The NBB All-Star Game is an annual game involving the All-Star players of each season of the Novo Basquete Brasil (New Basketball Brazil), which is the top-tier level Brazilian professional club basketball league. The players are chosen by votes on the Internet, and are then divided into two teams. The criterion for the selection of the teams has varied during the years. In the first edition of the NBB All-Star Game, the teams were divided into team Ubiratan, with light jerseys, and formed by the best players of each position; and team Rosa Branca, with dark jerseys, and formed by the second top players in each position. The 2010–11 NBB season was the third season of Novo Basquete Brasil, the Brazilian basketball league. It started on October 29, 2010, and was disputed by fourteen teams playing each other in round and runoff in the regular season. The NBB serves as a qualifying competition for international tournaments such as FIBA Americas League, Liga Sudamericana and Torneo InterLigas. 2017 FIBA AmeriCup
The 2017 FIBA AmeriCup was the 18th edition of the FIBA AmeriCup, which is the main tournament for senior men's basketball national teams of the FIBA Americas. The tournament was held in Medellín, Colombia, Montevideo, Uruguay, and Bahía Blanca and Córdoba, in Argentina, from 25 August, to 3 September 2017. Unlike previous editions, the tournament did not award spots for the FIBA World Cup or the Summer Olympic Games. However, the top seven teams qualified to the 2019 Pan American Games. South American Basketball Championship 2010
The 2010 South American Basketball Championship was the 44th edition of the South American Basketball Championship. Eight teams featured the competition, held in Neiva, Colombia from 26 to July 31 in the Coliseo Álvaro Sánchez Silva. Argentina was the defending champion, but lost in the final to Brazil. The first three places qualified for the basketball tournament at the 2011 Pan American Games and to the 2011 FIBA Americas Championship, the latter of which doubled as the FIBA Americas qualifier for the 2012 Olympics. Because Argentina, which automatically qualified for the FIBA Americas Championship as host, finished in an automatic qualifying spot, the fourth-place team was also invited to that competition.
