Future Entertainment is a Melbourne based, youth-focused electronic music entertainment company created by dance-music event organiser Mark James in 1993. Its objective was to present annual music festivals at Australian venues and landmarks. The Mansion nightclub in Melbourne was the foundation of Future Entertainment, where Mark James & Jason Ayoubi first came together to form their music promotions company. The company has been developing domestic brands as a key focus in recent years with parties such as ''Kiss my grass'', ''The Future Music Festival'' and ''Mischief events''. The company and past events The company was formed at 578 Glen Huntly Rd, Elsternwick with its offices and Music studio. The company organized events such as : * Summadayze started in Melbourne in 1998/99 and has parties in Melbourne, Gold Coast, Perth and Auckland (New Zealand). Future Music Festival
Future Music Festival was an annual music festival featuring Australian and international artists held in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth in Australia and as of 2012 also Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. The festival was usually held in late February - early March and has been headlined by notable acts including The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers, New Order, The Stone Roses and most recently Drake. Several weeks after the 2015 edition of the festival, Mushroom Group announced their decision to scrap any future editions of the festival, however they offered hope for a new festival to take its place. History The festival began in 2006 as a one-day independent festival at Sydney's Royal Randwick Racecourse. Royal Randwick Racecourse is a racecourse for horse racing located in the Eastern Suburbs (Sydney), Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, New South Wales. The Cat Empire
The Cat Empire are an Australian jazz/funk band, formed in Melbourne, Victoria, in 1999. For most of the band's duration, the core members were Felix Riebl (lead vocals, percussion), Harry James Angus (trumpet, vocals), Will Hull-Brown (drums), Jamshid "Jumps" Khadiwhala (turntables, percussion), Ollie McGill (keyboards, backing vocals) and Ryan Monro (bass, backing vocals). Monro retired from the band in March 2021, while Angus, Hull-Brown and Khadiwhala all left in April 2022. Carl Cox
Carl Cox (born 29 July 1962) is a British house and techno club DJ, as well as radio DJ and record producer. He is based in Hove, Sussex, England. Cox has won and been nominated for numerous awards. He has performed at numerous clubs and electronic music or dance events worldwide. He has hosted a residency known as "Music is Revolution" every summer season at the Space Ibiza nightclub, from 2001 to 2016. The Sidney Myer Music Bowl is an outdoor bandshell performance venue in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
