Futian Port
Futian Port () or the Lok Ma Chau Spur Line Control Point () is an immigration port of entry/border crossing on the border between mainland China and Hong Kong, located in the Futian District of Shenzhen in mainland China. It is in the same building as Futian Checkpoint station on Shenzhen Metro Line 4 and Huanggang Checkpoint station on Shenzhen Metro Line 7 is a short walk away. The port acts as the Hong Kong counterpart to the Lok Ma Chau Spur Line Control Point. On the Hong Kong side, it is connected to the Lok Ma Chau station in Lok Ma Chau, Hong Kong through a pedestrian footbridge. It has been in operation since 15 August 2007 and is the second border crossing along the border with a railway connection, after Luohu Port/Lo Wu Control Point. Sham Chun River
The Sham Chun River, Shum Chum River, or Shenzhen River () serves as the natural border between Hong Kong and Mainland China, together with the Sha Tau Kok River, Mirs Bay and Deep Bay. It formed part of the limit of the lease of the New Territories in 1898 in the Convention for the Extension of Hong Kong Territory (known also as the Second Convention of Peking). It separates Yuen Long District, North District of Hong Kong, and the city of Shenzhen, Guangdong. Its source is at Wutong Mountain, Shenzhen. Futian Checkpoint Station
Futian Checkpoint station () is a terminus of Line 4 and Line 10 of the Shenzhen Metro. Line 4 platforms opened on 28 June 2007 and Line 10 platforms on 18 August 2020. It is located at the ground level of Futian Port Control Point in Futian District, Shenzhen, People's Republic of China, and it is the only ground station in Shenzhen Metro. Futian Port Control Point and Futian Checkpoint Station are connected to Hong Kong's Lok Ma Chau station by a footbridge. The station was called Huanggang () because of its location near Huanggang, which is also an immigration control point between Shenzhen and Hong Kong. The New Territories is one of the three main regions of Hong Kong, alongside Hong Kong Island and the Kowloon Peninsula. It makes up 86.2% of Hong Kong's territory, and contains around half of the population of Hong Kong. Lok Ma Chau Control Point () is an immigration control point in Lok Ma Chau, Yuen Long District, New Territories, Hong Kong, which is on the border between Hong Kong and mainland China. It opened in 1989 as the third road crossing between the then British dependent territory and China. Lo Wu Bridge
The Lo Wu Bridge () is a footbridge and steel railway truss bridge across Sham Chun River linking Hong Kong and Shenzhen. Due to the course of widening the river section at Lo Wu, it is necessary to reconstruct the Lo Wu railway bridge as its span is not long enough for the widened river section. The old Lo Wu railway bridge has been relocated downstream in September 2003 to facilitate the construction of a new bridge for the widened Shenzhen River Lo Wu section. Owing to its historical value, the old rail bridge will be preserved as a monument on the bank of the Sham Chun River adjacent to the Lo Wu station. Lok Ma Chau Spur Line
The Lok Ma Chau Spur Line is the second railway link between Hong Kong and Mainland China, relieving passenger congestion at Lo Wu station. The alignment branches off the existing MTR East Rail line north of Sheung Shui station and then runs to the Lok Ma Chau station where customs and immigration facilities are provided.
