French F4 Championship
French F4 Championship, formerly known as Formula Renault Campus France, Formula Campus, Formul'Academy Euro Series, F4 Eurocup 1.6 is a form of open wheel racing founded in 1993 by Louis Drouet. It is based in France and aims at karting graduates. The series currently organized by the Fédération Française du Sport Automobile (FFSA). Formerly, the champion receives support to continue in one of the Formula Renault 2.0 championships. In 2010, the re-branded series was made part of the World Series by Renault, but was then dropped for 2011. Since 2018, the series runs under FIA moniker. The car The car was originally built by Signatech. The chassis and survival cell had a carbon fibre composite monocoque construction. The car was designed to comply with the 2008 FIA F3 standards. Laurent Groppi
Laurent Groppi (born 19 January 1983 in Haute-Savoie, Thonon-les-Bains) is a French racing driver. He won the Formula Campus by Renault and Elf in 2003 and the Championnat de France Formula Renault 2.0 in 2006. He also competed in Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0. In 2007 he finished second in the French GT Championship and finished 5th in the GT1 Class of the 2007 24 Hours of Le Mans driving a Team ORECA Saleen S7R. Loïc Duval (; born 12 June 1982) is a French professional racing driver racing for Audi Sport as a factory driver in DTM and driving for Dragon Racing in Formula E. He won the 2013 24 Hours of Le Mans with Allan McNish and Tom Kristensen driving the Audi R18 for Audi Sport. So far he won 42 races in the different categories he raced. Adam Scott Jones (born 9 August 1980, in Birmingham) is an English auto racing driver. Early career He competed successfully in Formula 3 and Formula Renault in France, before switching to GT racing. Westley Barber (born 19 January 1982) is a British racing driver who was the 2002 British Formula Ford and 1998 French Formula Renault Campus champion. Career Barber began racing in the Formula Renault Campus series in France. He won the title with six victories in the ten races across the year. He graduated to French Formula 3 for 1999 and drove for La Filière Elf finishing 4th in the class B series. He was a nominated finalist for the Autosport BRDC Award that year, but lost out to Gary Paffett. He returned to Britain in 2000, joining Alan Docking Racing for the British Formula 3 season. He would ultimately finish in 14th and a best finish of 6th in the final race at Silverstone. Marcel Costa (born 4 November 1978 in Guardiola de Berguedà) is a Spanish auto racing driver. Career Costa was the 2002 Spanish Formula Three Champion, yet after a season in the Spanish GT Series, where he was a class champion, Costa spent 2004 and 2005 in the motor racing wilderness, with just a win in the Barcelona 24 Hours to his credit. Franck Montagny (born 5 January 1978) is a retired French professional racing driver. He briefly raced for the Super Aguri Formula One team in 2006. Early career Born in Feurs, Loire, Montagny started racing karts there in 1988, winning the cadet class in the French Karting Championship in 1992, and the National 1 class the following year.
