Frederick E. Hyde Fjord
Frederick E. Hyde Fjord is a fjord in Peary Land, far northern Greenland. History The fjord was named by Robert Peary during his 1900 expedition after Frederick Erastus Hyde, one of the founding members and first vice-president of the Peary Arctic Club in New York. Peary did not explore the fjord owing to thick fog. Wistar Bjerg
Mount Wistar ( da, Wistars Fjeld or ''Wistar Bjerg'') is a mountain in Peary Land, Northern Greenland. Administratively it is part of the Northeast Greenland National Park. History Mt Wistar was deemed to have been seen in 1900 by Robert Peary from the northern side of the Frederick E. Hyde Fjord. It was named after General Isaac J. Wistar (1827-1905), then President of the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia. Peary thought he recognized it as a mountain he had seen from Navy Cliff in his 1892 expedition. It was mapped by Danish Arctic explorer Lauge Koch and named ''(Wistars Fjeld)'' during his Cartographic Air Expedition of 1938. Nordkrone
Nordkrone ( da, Nordkronen, meaning "Northern Crown") is a mountainous area in Peary Land, Northern Greenland. Administratively it is part of the Northeast Greenland National Park. Fossils dating back to the Silurian have been found in the area of the range. They belong to the Nordkronen Formation of the Peary Land Group. History The mountain was mapped by Danish Arctic explorer Lauge Koch during his Cartographic Air Expedition of 1938. He named it after the "North Crown", which symbolically crowns the world's northernmost country. The most conspicuous peak in the area had been previously named by Robert Peary as Mount Wistar ''(Wistars Fjeld)''. Roosevelt Range
The Roosevelt Range or Roosevelt Mountains ( da, Roosevelt Fjelde) is a mountain range in Northern Greenland. Administratively this range is part of the Northeast Greenland National Park. Its highest peak is the highest point in Peary Land. Citronen Fjord is a fjord in Peary Land, far northern Greenland. Administratively it is part of the Northeast Greenland National Park. De Long Fjord is a fjord system in Peary Land, northern Greenland. To the northwest, the fjord opens into the Lincoln Sea of the Arctic Ocean. It is part of the Northeast Greenland National Park.
