Freddy (Angolan Footballer)
Frederico Castro Roque dos Santos (born 14 August 1979), known as Freddy, is an Angolan retired footballer who played as a forward. He spent most of his professional career in Portugal and Cyprus. Club career Born in Malanje, Freddy spent nine seasons at G.D. Estoril Praia – youth years comprised – playing two seasons in the Portuguese third division and one in the second as a senior. In 2001–02 he made his Primeira Liga debut, being coached by a young José Mourinho and playing 22 matches (17 as a substitute) as the team qualified to the UEFA Intertoto Cup; during four years, he only started in 16 of the league appearances he made. Malanje is the capital city of Malanje Province in Angola, with a population of 455,000 (2014 census), and a municipality, with a population of 506,847 (2014 census). 2011–12 Cypriot Cup
The 2011–12 Cypriot Cup was the 70th edition of the Cypriot Cup. A total of 28 clubs entered the competition. It began on 30 November 2011 with the first round and concluded on 16 May 2012 with the final which was held at GSP Stadium. Omonia won their 14th Cypriot Cup trophy after beating AEL 1–0 in the final. Format In the 2011–12 Cypriot Cup, participated all the teams of the Cypriot First Division and the Cypriot Second Division. Listed below are the dates and results for the 2006 FIFA World Cup qualification rounds for Africa. 51 teams took part (only Comoros and Djibouti did not enter), competing for 5 World Cup places. The qualification was composed of two Rounds. 9 teams entered the competition directly on the Second Round: the 5 teams that qualified for the 2002 World Cup Finals ( Cameroon, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, and Tunisia) and the 4 highest-ranking teams in the June 25, 2003 FIFA world rankings (Congo DR, Côte d'Ivoire, Egypt, and Morocco). The 2006 FIFA World Cup, also branded as Germany 2006, was the 18th FIFA World Cup, the quadrennial international football world championship tournament. It was held from 9 June to 9 July 2006 in Germany, which had won the right to host the event in July 2000. The Cypriot First Division ( el, Πρωτάθλημα Α΄ Κατηγορίας) is the top tier football league competition in Cyprus, run by the Cyprus Football Association. Since February 2016, it is sponsored by Cyta and is thus officially known as the Cyta Championship. The AFC Cup is an annual continental club football competition organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). Under its current rules, the competition is played primarily between clubs from nations that did not receive direct qualifying slots in the top-tier AFC Champions League, based on the AFC Club Competitions Ranking. A transfer window is the period during the year in which a football club can transfer players from other playing staff into their playing staff. Such a transfer is completed by registering the player into the new club through FIFA.
