François Delamontagne
François Delamontagne (born 25 March 1979 in Rennes) is a French professional golfer. Professional career Delamontagne turned professional in 2001 prior to competing in the European Tour's qualifying school. He reached the final stage, a performance which enabled him to play a full season on the second-tier Challenge Tour in 2002. Delamontagne finished 39th in the money list in his first full professional season, and returned to the qualifying school at the end of the year; this time he played well enough to earn a full European Tour card for the 2003 season. Delamontagne struggled initially to establish himself at the highest level; he returned to the qualifying school after both the 2003 and 2004 seasons, but was successful in regaining his card both times. In 2005, he enjoyed his most successful year to date, finishing 68th in the Order of Merit thanks primarily to a tie for fourth in the French Open, his home tournament. 2000 Eisenhower Trophy
The 2000 Eisenhower Trophy took place 31 August to 3 September on the Nick Faldo and Arnold Palmer courses at Sporting Club Berlin in Bad Saarow, Germany. It was the 22nd World Amateur Team Championship for the Eisenhower Trophy. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with 59 four-man teams. The best three scores for each round counted towards the team total. Each team played two rounds on the two courses. The leading teams played on the Arnold Palmer course on the third day and on the Nick Faldo course on the final day. United States won the Eisenhower Trophy for the 11th time, finishing 16 strokes ahead of the silver medalists, Great Britain and Ireland. Australia took the bronze medal with Sweden in fourth place. Eisenhower Trophy
The Eisenhower Trophy (World Men's Amateur Team Championships) is the biennial World Amateur Team Championship for men organized by the International Golf Federation. Since the tournament was first played in 1958, it is named after Dwight D. Eisenhower, the President of the United States at the time, who was a keen amateur golfer. The equivalent competition for women is the Espirito Santo Trophy. Results The 1958 championship resulted in a tie. There was an 18-hole playoff which Australia won with a score of 222 to the United States 224. From 1958 to 2000 the teams had four players with the best three scores counting for each round.
