France Women's Ice Hockey League
The France women's ice hockey league (french: Championnat de France de hockey sur glace féminin, lit=French Championship in women's ice hockey) or the FFHG Féminin Élite ('FFHG Elite Women') is the top level of women's ice hockey in France. The league is organized by the Fédération Française de Hockey sur Glace (FFHG). The competition began in 1987. In some years, a second-level competition, the Excellence Division, has been held. Format The twelve teams in the league are divided into two divisions, North and South. During the regular season, each team plays each of the others in their division twice (once at home and once away), with 3 points being awarded for a win in regulation time, 2 points for a win in overtime or shootouts, 1 point for an overtime/shootout loss, and 0 points for a regulation time loss. Saint Ouen
Audoin (AD 609 – on 24 August 684; also spelled ''Audoen'', ''Ouen'', ''Owen''; la, Audoenus; known as Dado to contemporaries) was a Frankish bishop, courtier, hagiographer and saint. Life Audoin came from a wealthy aristocratic Frankish family who held lands in the upper Seine and Oise valleys. His father was Saint Authaire (Audecharius). Audoin was a first cousin of Agilbert, bishop of the West Saxons. He spent his childhood at Ussy-sur-Marne, and was then sent to be educated at the Abbey of Saint-Médard de Soissons. Hockey is a term used to denote a family of various types of both summer and winter team sports which originated on either an outdoor field, sheet of ice, or dry floor such as in a gymnasium. Patinoire Polesud or Pôle Sud (English: "South Pole Ice Rink") is a 4,208-seat multi-purpose arena in Grenoble, France. It is the home of the ice hockey club of the city, the Brûleurs de Loups (English: "Wolfs Burners"), one of the bests in France. Features Patinoire Polesud features two ice rinks; the competition rink is . It is used for ice hockey, figure skating, and short track. There is a jumbotron and seating for 4,208 spectators around the competition rink, making it the largest arena in the Ligue Magnus. The recreational rink is smaller, at , and is open to the public. The Brûleurs de Loups (French for ''Wolfs Burners'') are a professional ice hockey team that play in Grenoble, France. History The club was founded in 1963 under the name Grenoble Hockey Club. Since 1992, the club has been known as the Brûleurs de Loups. The Brûleurs de Loups hockey team plays in the Ligue Magnus, the highest level in France. They have won the championship eight times (1981, 1982, 1991, 1998, 2007, 2009, 2019, 2022), the French Cup four times (1994, 2008, 2009, 2017) and the League Cup four times (2007, 2009, 2011, 2015).
