Formula Regional Asian Championship
The Formula Regional Asian Championship is an FIA-certified regional Formula 3 racing series, which started in 2018. On 26 January 2018 it was confirmed that pan-Asian promoter Top Speed would organise the championship. Despite using Formula Regional cars since its establishment, the series was called F3 Asian Championship for four years until it was eventually rebranded in December 2021, when the FIA brought an end to F3 as a category. The inaugural 2018 championship season featured 15 races held during five rounds of 3-race weekends on circuits across Asia. The driver champion receives FIA Super Licence points, while also it features the AM (amateur) and teams standings. Car The championship features Tatuus designed and built cars. Formula Three, also called Formula 3, abbreviated as F3, is a third-tier class of open-wheel formula racing. The various championships held in Europe, Australia, South America and Asia form an important step for many prospective Formula One drivers. Joey Alders
Joey Alders (born 6 August 1999) is a Dutch racing driver from Den Helder. He is the reigning Asian Formula Renault Series and Asian Formula 3 champion, he won both single-seater championships in his debut year and is currently competing in the 2021 European Le Mans Series in the Eurointernational LMP3. Career Karting Alders started karting in 2009 in The Netherlands when he was 10 where he races a string of successful campaigns, which includes winning the Dutch Championship Academy in 2012. ADAC Formula 4 Championship In 2018, Alders made his single-seater debut in the ADAC F4 championship with Van Amersfoort Racing. Dubai Autodrome
The Dubai Autodrome is an FIA sanctioned motorsports circuit located in Dubailand, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The architects of the project were Populous and the circuit was designed by Clive Bowen of Apex Circuit Design. Opened in October 2004 with the final round of the LG Super Racing Weekend featuring the final rounds of the FIA GT Championship, European Touring Car Championship and 2004 Formula Renault V6 Eurocup season, Dubai Autodrome was the first part of the Dubai Motor City development that was available for use. The venue hosted the December 2005 A1 Grand Prix and the FIA GT Championship from 2004 to 2006. The track record at the longest configuration was set by Kamui Kobayashi (DAMS) with a time of 1:41.220 in a GP2 Asia car. B-Max Racing Co., Ltd also known as B-Max Racing Team and B-Max Engineering is a race car builder and racing team headquartered in Ayase, Kanagawa. History Byobugaura Kogyo Co., Ltd. established the race division "B-Max Engineering" in 2009, and started participating in Super FJ and Porsche Carrera Cup Japan in 2010. Rinus van Kalmthout (born 11 September 2000), known professionally as Rinus VeeKay is a Dutch racing driver. He drives the No. 21 Dallara-Chevrolet for Ed Carpenter Racing in the IndyCar Series. Career Karting van Kalmthout started karting in 2009. The eight-year-old won races in the 4-stroke cadet championship with a DR chassis. He finished second in the championship. During the 2009-2010 winter season van Kalmthout won the 4-stroke cadet series. Pinnacle Motorsport (formerly PRT Racing) is an Irish licensed, Philippines based motor racing team founded in 2016 by Irish former racers John O'Hara and Gary Thompson. Both have experience at Formula 3 level, the former a race winner in the Asian Formula Three series, and had tested for the A1 Team Ireland, the latter featuring in the Japanese F3 and 2013 F3 European series. Josep Maria "Pepe" Martí Sobrepera (born 13 June 2005) is a Spanish racing driver who most recently raced in the FIA Formula 3 for Campos Racing. He is a race winner in the UAE and Spanish Formula 4 championships, and also the 2022 Formula Regional Asian Championship runner-up. Career Karting Martí started karting competitively in late 2016 at the age of eleven. Hitech Grand Prix (formerly known as Hitech Racing) is a British motor racing team. It was founded in 2002 by Dennis Rushen and David Hayle. is a Japanese racing driver currently competing in the FIA Formula 2 Championship with DAMS. He previously raced in the FIA Formula 3 Championship with Hitech Grand Prix. 2022 Formula Regional Asian Championship
The 2022 Formula Regional Asian Championship was a multi-event, Formula Regional open-wheel single seater motor racing championship. The championship featured a mix of professional and amateur drivers, competing in Formula Regional cars. It was the fifth season of the championship, and the first season under the Formula Regional moniker, after a rebrand happened due to the FIA ending the F3 category name. The season was held over five consecutive weekends in January and February 2022. For the first time, the second race of a weekend was a reversed-grid race, reversing the top 10 finishers of race one. Prema Powerteam (competing as Prema Racing in the FIA Formula 2 Championship, the FIA Formula 3 Championship and European Le Mans Series and as Prema Orlen Team in the FIA World Endurance Championship) is a motorsport team from Italy.
