FIOL Prosecco is an Italian luxury brand of Prosecco DOC. History FIOL brand was founded in 2010 by a group of friends born in Treviso, the capital of prosecco region. FIOL is produced in the countryside in the surroundings of Treviso and it is distributed worldwide. 3GP is the company which produces FIOL: it is managed by an independent team based in Treviso. Tito Ciani Bassetti is the chairman of the company. In the ancient venetian language the word "fiol" means "son" and also "young boy", and it is commonly used to address the "cool guy". Prosecco
Prosecco (; Italian: ) is an Italian DOC or DOCG white wine produced in a large area spanning nine provinces in the Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia regions, and named after the village of Prosecco which is in the province of Trieste, Italy. It is made from the Prosecco grape (renamed Glera in 2009 within the European Union) but denomination rules allow up to 15% of the wine to be other permitted varieties.
