The Finnish Film Foundation ( fi, Suomen elokuvasäätiö, sv, Finlands filmstiftelse) is an independent foundation with the task of supporting and developing Finnish film production, distribution and exhibition. It is supervised by the Department for Cultural Policy in the Ministry of Education and Culture. The foundation is supported by grants from the Finnish national lottery. Veikkaus Oy is the Finnish government-owned betting agency which holds a monopoly in the country. It was formed in 2017 as a merger of three previously existing betting and gambling agencies of Veikkaus, Fintoto and Finland's Slot Machine Association. Katajanokka
Katajanokka ( sv, Skatudden) is a neighbourhood of Helsinki, Finland, with around 4000 inhabitants in 2005. The district is located adjacent to the immediate downtown area, though in the first major town plan for Helsinki from the mid-18th century, the area fell outside the fortifications planned to encircle the city. Originally, Katajanokka was a headland of the Helsinki peninsula but is now technically an island, as a small canal was dug across the base of the headland in the 19th century. Irina Krohn
Irina Kaarina Krohn (born July 10, 1962) is a Finnish politician and a former member of Finnish Parliament, representing the Green League. She is also member of the city council of Helsinki and has held positions in various other organisations. She was first elected to the parliament in 1995. She was a substitute member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and a member of the Sub-Committees on Sustainable Development and Population. In December 2005, Krohn was appointed the new managing director of the Finnish Film Foundation; she was succeeded in the Parliament by another Green from Helsinki, Johanna Sumuvuori.
