Fighting EX Layer
''Fighting EX Layer'' is a fighting video game developed by Arika. It is a spiritual successor to ''Fighting Layer'' and the ''Street Fighter EX'' series and features many of the same characters from the latter. The game was released for PlayStation 4 in June 2018, with ports for Microsoft Windows and Arcade released the following November. A mobile version of the game, titled ''Fighting EX Layer -α'', was later released for iOS and Android devices in April 2019. A Nintendo Switch port of the game, ''Fighting EX Layer Another Dash'' was released in 2021. Gameplay ''Fighting EX Layer'' is a fighting video game played in a 2.5D environment. Battles take place in closed arenas, which vary in size and width. Arika
is a Japanese video game developer and publisher. It was formed in 1995 by former Capcom employees, originally as ARMtech K.K, later named Arika. The name of the company is the reverse of the name of the company's founder, Akira Nishitani, who along with Akira Yasuda, created ''Street Fighter II''. Arika's first game was ''Street Fighter EX''. It was successful and was followed up with two updates (''Street Fighter EX +'' and ''EX + α''), and it's two sequels ''Street Fighter EX2'' and ''Street Fighter EX3''. Metacritic is a website that review aggregator, aggregates reviews of films, TV shows, music albums, video games and formerly, books. For each product, the scores from each review are averaged (a weighted arithmetic mean, weighted average). Metacritic was created by Jason Dietz, Marc Doyle, and Julie Doyle Roberts in 1999. The site provides an excerpt from each review and hyperlinks to its source. A color of green, yellow or red summarizes the critics' recommendations. It is regarded as the foremost online review aggregation site for the video game industry. Metacritic's scoring converts each review into a percentage, either mathematically from the mark given, or what the site decides subjectively from a qualitative review. ''Street Fighter V'' is a fighting game developed by Capcom and Dimps and published by Capcom for PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows, Windows in 2016. An Arcade game, arcade version exclusive to Japan was released by Taito in 2019. Similar to the previous games in the ''Street Fighter'' series, ''Street Fighter V'' features a side-scrolling fighting gameplay system. The game also introduces the "V-Gauge", which builds as the player receives attacks and adds three new skills. The game featured 16 characters at launch, with four of them being new to the series. A main story mode and 30 additional characters were added through updates and downloadable content. The 2018 Evolution Championship Series (commonly referred to as Evo 2018 or EVO 2018) was a fighting game event held in Las Vegas on August 3 to 5 as part of the long-running Evolution Championship Series.
