The Ferndale Schools is a school district headquartered at the Administrative Offices on the Ferndale High School Campus in Ferndale, Michigan, Ferndale, Michigan in Greater Detroit. It is a four square mile district, including all of Pleasant Ridge, MI, Pleasant Ridge, most of Ferndale, and portions of Oak Park, Michigan, Oak Park and Royal Oak Charter Township, Michigan, Royal Oak Township. In 2015, the district began a radical restructuring process, led by the Board of Education and deeply dependent on community involvement. History It was originally Lincoln High School when built in 1921 on the corner of 9 Mile and Livernois Roads. The Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP) was a standardized test. The test was taken by all public school students in the U.S. state of Michigan from elementary school to middle/ junior high school from the 1969–70 school year to the 2013–14 school year.
