Fernando Carrera
Ambassador Luis Fernando Carrera Castro (Guatemala City, Guatemala, April 19, 1966) is a Guatemalan economist, political analyst and diplomat. He served as Permanent Representative of Guatemala to the United Nations during the presidency of Otto Perez Molina. Before that, he was the Minister for Foreign Affairs, during the same administration. He is a Guatemalan economist, specializing in fiscal policies, and also a political analyst. He obtained his bachelor's degree in economics from Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica in 1990. Then, he obtained an M. Coat Of Arms Of Guatemala
The current coat of arms of Guatemala was adopted after the by a decree of president Miguel García Granados. It consists of multiple symbols representing liberty and sovereignty on a bleu celeste shield. According to government specifications, the coat of arms should be depicted without the shield only when on the flag, but the version lacking the shield is often used counter to these regulations. History In 1871, for the 50th anniversary of Guatemala gaining independence, president Miguel García Granados asked the mint to produce a design to commemorate the event. The Swiss engraver Juan Bautista Frener designed the shield, and Granados decided to adopt it as the national coat of arms, abandoning the previous coat of arms which had conservative symbolism. El Salvador
El Salvador (; , meaning " The Saviour"), officially the Republic of El Salvador ( es, República de El Salvador), is a country in Central America. Al Jazeera ( ar, الجزيرة, translit-std=DIN, translit=al-jazīrah, , "The Island") is a state-owned Arabic-language international radio and TV broadcaster of Qatar. It is based in Doha and operated by the media conglomerate Al Jazeera Media Network. The flagship of the network, its station identification, is ''Al Jazeera.'' The patent holding is a " private foundation for public benefit" under Qatari law. El Periódico (Guatemala)
''El Periódico'' is a daily Guatemalan newspaper founded by José Rubén Zamora on November 6, 1996. History Considered one of Central America's leading independent journalists, Zamora had left his previous paper, ''Siglo Veintiuno'', earlier in the year after a disagreement with the board of directors. He then founded ''Periódico'', funded by the donations of 125 citizens who supported his stand on press freedom. One year later, it was purchased by the owners of '' Prensa Libre'', Guatemala's best-selling newspaper.
