Fellini (band)
Fellini was a Brazilian Rock music, rock band formed in São Paulo in 1984 by Cadão Volpato (vocals, harmonica), Jair Marcos (guitar), Ricardo Salvagni (drums and percussion), and former Voluntários da Pátria and Smack (Brazilian band), Smack member Thomas Pappon (bass and occasionally other instruments). One of the most well-known bands of the Brazilian underground scene of the mid-1980s (and having a strong cult following to the present day), Fellini originally began as a straightforward post-punk band influenced by acts such as Joy Division, The Stranglers and The Durutti Column, but would gradually develop a more eclectic sonority that mixed post-punk with other genres such as Música popular brasileira, MPB, New wave music, new wave and samba rock, acquiring a unique, almost non-descript musical style. The Stranglers
The Stranglers are an English rock band who emerged via the punk rock scene. Scoring 23 UK top 40 singles and 19 UK top 40 albums to date in a career spanning five decades, the Stranglers are one of the longest-surviving bands to have originated in the UK punk scene. Formed as the Guildford Stranglers in Guildford, Surrey, in early 1974, they originally built a following within the mid-1970s pub rock scene. While their aggressive, no-compromise attitude had them identified by the media with the emerging UK punk rock scene that followed, their idiosyncratic approach rarely followed any single musical genre, and the group went on to explore a variety of musical styles, from new wave, art rock and gothic rock through the sophisti-pop of some of their 1980s output. ''Amanhã É Tarde'' (Portuguese for ''Tomorrow's Too Late'') is the fifth studio album by Brazilian band Fellini. It was released on March 4, 2002, by independent ''carioca'' label Midsummer Madness. It is their first album of new material since 1990's '' Amor Louco''. Although it is labeled as a Fellini album, it doesn't feature Jair Marcos and Ricardo Salvagni; as it happened in their 1986 album '' Fellini Só Vive 2 Vezes'', it only features Cadão Volpato and Thomas Pappon. The album's style is a mix between ''Fellini Só Vive 2 Vezes'' and ''Amor Louco'': the instrumentation is minimalist, as in ''2 Vezes'', but light-hearted, varied and reminiscent of MPB, as in ''Amor Louco'' — the track "Besouro" even features a ''berimbau''. Funziona Senza Vapore
''Funziona Senza Vapore'' is the only release by Funziona Senza Vapore, a very short-lived side project founded by former Fellini vocalist Cadão Volpato in 1992, two years after Fellini's first break-up. It was recorded in 1992, but wouldn't be released until 2002, by Brazilian independent label Outros Discos. Background In 1984, Cadão Volpato formed the post-punk band Fellini alongside Jair Marcos, Ricardo Salvagni and Thomas Pappon. The band would come to an end in 1990, and shortly after, Pappon left Brazil and moved to Europe. In 1992, Volpato decided to form a side project named Funziona Senza Vapore, named after Fellini's most famous song, present in their 1985 debut '' O Adeus de Fellini''. ''Amor Louco'' ( Portuguese for ''Mad Love'') is the fourth studio album by Brazilian post-punk band Fellini. It was released on February 15, 1990 by now-defunct independent record label Wop-Bop Records and re-released in CD form in 2001 by another independent label, RDS. It was originally Fellini's last album, due to their break-up in the following year; however, they reunited in 2001 and released another album, ''Amanhã É Tarde''. After his absence from the previous album, Jair Marcos returned as the guitarist, thus having Fellini's original line-up once more. ''Amor Louco'' is characterized for the diminished "scuzzy" post-punk-esque instrumentation, instead adopting a more light-hearted style reminiscent of samba rock, ''bossa nova'' and MPB. It was released in 1987, and was their last album to be released under the Baratos Afins imprint. Fans (and as well as Cadão Volpato himself) consider this to be Fellini's best album. It was also re-released in CD form in 1995 (like the two previous Fellini albums). Although Ricardo Salvagni returned to Fellini in this album (both him and guitarist Jair Marcos were absent from the band during the recording of the previous album), Jair Marcos did not, and thus was temporarily replaced by Thomas Pappon's brother Tancred. Oral cancer, also known as mouth cancer, is cancer of the lining of the lips, mouth, or upper throat. In the mouth, it most commonly starts as a painless white patch, that thickens, develops red patches, an ulcer, and continues to grow. When on the lips, it commonly looks like a persistent crusting ulcer that does not heal, and slowly grows. Other symptoms may include difficult or painful swallowing, new lumps or bumps in the neck, a swelling in the mouth, or a feeling of numbness in the mouth or lips.
