''3 Lugares Diferentes'' ( Portuguese for ''3 Different Places'') is the third studio album by Brazilian post-punk band Fellini. It was released in 1987, and was their last album to be released under the Baratos Afins imprint. Fans (and as well as Cadão Volpato himself) consider this to be Fellini's best album. It was also re-released in CD form in 1995 (like the two previous Fellini albums). Although Ricardo Salvagni returned to Fellini in this album (both him and guitarist Jair Marcos were absent from the band during the recording of the previous album), Jair Marcos did not, and thus was temporarily replaced by Thomas Pappon's brother Tancred. Fellini was a Brazilian Rock music, rock band formed in São Paulo in 1984 by Cadão Volpato (vocals, harmonica), Jair Marcos (guitar), Ricardo Salvagni (drums and percussion), and former Voluntários da Pátria and Smack (Brazilian band), Smack member Thomas Pappon (bass and occasionally other instruments). One of the most well-known bands of the Brazilian underground scene of the mid-1980s (and having a strong cult following to the present day), Fellini originally began as a straightforward post-punk band influenced by acts such as Joy Division, The Stranglers and The Durutti Column, but would gradually develop a more eclectic sonority that mixed post-punk with other genres such as Música popular brasileira, MPB, New wave music, new wave and samba rock, acquiring a unique, almost non-descript musical style. MusicBrainz is a MetaBrainz project that aims to create a collaborative music database that is similar to the freedb project. MusicBrainz was founded in response to the restrictions placed on the Compact Disc Database (CDDB), a database for software applications to look up audio CD information on the Internet. MusicBrainz has expanded its goals to reach beyond a CD metadata (this is information about the performers, artists, songwriters, etc.) storehouse to become a structured online database for music. ''The Sexual Life of the Savages'' (subtitled ''Underground Post-Punk from São Paulo, Brazil'') is a compilation album produced by Bruno Verner and Eliete Mejorado (the components of avant-garde music duo Tetine), and released in 2005 by British record company Soul Jazz Records. It contains a collection of songs from various artists that formed the São Paulo post-punk movement of the early 1980s. The album's name is an allusion to a verse of the song "Nosso Louco Amor" by Gang 90 e as Absurdettes, one of the bands present in the compilation. Depicted in the album's front cover is Patife Band's frontman Paulo Barnabé. Critical reception The album received positive reviews. Scott Hreha of PopMatters stated: "If there's one drawback to the disc as a whole, it's the relative transparency of many of the bands' inspirations, which doesn't diminish its importance as much as it makes for an entertaining critical exercise".
