Faridi
Fareedi or Faridi ( fa, فریدی ), is a clan of the Farooqi tribe named after Farīduddīn Mas'ūd Ganjshakar, a murid of a sheikh who belongs to the sufi order of Baba Fareed Shaker Gunj. Origin Descendants of Farīduddīn Mas'ūd Ganjshakar, the Sufi Saint of Pak Patan in Pakistan. Most Fareedis live in Pakistan while some have moved to what is India now, mostly in the province of Uttar Pradesh, basically Badayun region. From there some moved forward to Bangladesh. Most Fareedis carry the name Farooqi but some carry the name Fareedi or Faridi. Some even carry the name Masudi or Masoodi. Those in charge of Farid's carry the title Diwan in addition to the name Farooqi. Ahmad Kamal Faridi
Ahmad Kamal Faridi (Urdu: احمد کمال فریدی) (Inspector Faridi, later Colonel Faridi, also known as Colonel Hardstone) is a fictional spy and crime-fighter, created by Ibn-e-Safi as the lead character of the Urdu spy novel series ''Jasoosi Dunya'' (''The Spy World''). Character Chip off the Old Block Faridi is the only son of Nawab Azeezuddin Khan. His father is an aristocrat, famous for his adventurous nature. Fariduddin Ganjshakar
Farīd al-Dīn Masʿūd Ganj-i-Shakar ( ; – 7 May 1266) was a 13th-century Punjabi Sunni Muslim preacher and mystic, who was one of the most revered and distinguished Muslim mystics of the medieval period. He is known reverentially as Bābā Farīd or Shaikh Farīd by Muslims, Hindus and Sikhs of the Punjab Region, or simply as Farīduddīn Ganjshakar. The Afrīdī ( ps, اپريدی ''Aprīdai'', plur. ''Aprīdī''; ur, آفریدی) are a Pashtun tribe present in Pakistan, with substantial numbers in Afghanistan. Ibn-e-Safi (26 July 1928 – 26 July 1980) (also spelled as Ibne Safi) ( ur, ) was the pen name of Asrar Ahmad ( ur, ), a fiction writer, novelist and poet of Urdu from Pakistan. The word Ibn-e-Safi is an Persian expression which literally means ''Son of Safi'', where the word Safi means ''chaste'' or ''righteous''. The Shaikh are a Muslim community found in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India. There are four main sections in shaikhs namely siddiqi,farooqi,usmani,abbasi.They were so named because of their scholarly contributions and lineage. Word " Shaikh or Sheikh " is an Arabic title of respect dating from pre-Islamic times; it strictly means a venerable member of society or scholar akin to modern day usage of sir or Persian saheb. The Chishtī Order ( fa, ''chishtī'') is a tariqa, an order or school within the mystic Sufism, Sufi tradition of Sunni Islam.
