Falling Uphill
''Falling Uphill'' is the first album by the Canadian girl pop rock band Lillix. It released by Maverick Records on May 27, 2003. The album includes a cover version of The Romantics' song " What I Like About You". This song also notably appeared on the ''Freaky Friday'' soundtrack, as well as in The WB comedy series '' What I Like About You''. The single releases are " It's About Time", "What I Like About You", and " Tomorrow". "It's About Time" peaked at #17 on the Japan Top 20 chart, number 5 on ''TRL'', and number 33 on the ''Billboard'' US Mainstream Top 40 Airplay. In 2007, Nielsen certified the song as receiving 50,000 spins. "What I Like About You" failed to chart. "Tomorrow" reached number 48 on '' R&R'' magazine's Pop Airplay chart. Lillix
Lillix () was a pop rock band from Cranbrook, British Columbia, Canada, formed in 1997 when the early members were in high school. The band was originally an all-girl group under the name Tigerlily composed of guitarist Tasha-Ray Evin, keyboardist Lacey-Lee Evin, bassist Louise Burns, and drummer Sierra Hills. In 2001 the band was signed by Maverick Records and changed their name to Lillix as there was another band called Tigerlily. Hills left in 2002 and was replaced by Kim Urhahn, and later by Alicia Warrington, a future ''WWE NXT'' ring announcer under the name Alicia Taylor. Urhahn has been among a rare group of left-handed female drummers. The band was considered on hiatus from late 2006 through 2009 due to the folding of their label, Maverick Records, and officially disbanded after the release of their independent third album in 2010. Jann Simon Wenner ( ; born January 7, 1946) is an American magazine magnate who is a co-founder of the popular culture magazine ''Rolling Stone'', and former owner of '' Men's Journal'' magazine. Metacritic is a website that review aggregator, aggregates reviews of films, TV shows, music albums, video games and formerly, books. For each product, the scores from each review are averaged (a weighted arithmetic mean, weighted average). Metacritic was created by Jason Dietz, Marc Doyle, and Julie Doyle Roberts in 1999. The site provides an excerpt from each review and hyperlinks to its source. A color of green, yellow or red summarizes the critics' recommendations. It is regarded as the foremost online review aggregation site for the video game industry. Metacritic's scoring converts each review into a percentage, either mathematically from the mark given, or what the site decides subjectively from a qualitative review. The WB Television Network (for Warner Bros., or the "Frog Network", for its former mascot, Michigan J. Frog) was an American television network launched on broadcast television on January 11, 1995, as a joint venture between the Warner Bros. ''Freaky Friday'' is the soundtrack album to the 2003 Disney film of the same name which features songs by various artists. AllMusic called the album a "mixed bag", specifically praising American Hi-Fi's " The Art of Losing", The Donnas' "Backstage", Andrew W.K.'s "She Is Beautiful", and Joey Ramone's "What a Wonderful World", while strongly criticizing the rest of the album. The album was certified gold by the RIAA in December 2003 for shipping over 500,000 copies. What I Like About You (The Romantics Song)
"What I Like About You" is a song by American rock band the Romantics. Written by band members Wally Palmar, Mike Skill and Jimmy Marinos in 1979, the song is included on the band's self-titled debut album (1980), and was also released as a single in late 1979. Marinos, the band's drummer, is the lead vocalist on the song. The band filmed a music video for the song that appeared frequently on MTV during the early 1980s. Michael Morales took the song even higher in 1989, Lillix also sang this song in 2003 and 5 Seconds of Summer covered the song in their 2014 self-titled debut album. Writing and original version "What I Like About You" was written by Palmar, Marinos and Skill around a guitar part by Skill.
