FSV Erlangen-Bruck
The FSV Erlangen-Bruck is a German association football club from the suburb of Bruck in the city of Erlangen, Bavaria. History The club was formed on 15 May 1916, during the First World War, under the name of 1. FC Markt Bruck. For most of its existence, the football department played on local level in the Bavarian region of Middle Franconia. The club came close to ''Landesliga'' (IV) promotion when it finished second in the ''Bezirksliga Mittelfranken-Nord'' in 1971, after having been promoted to this league the year before. The club remained in the ''Bezirksliga'' for a number of seasons without being able to archive quite so well again and eventually was relegated again. In 1992, the ''FSV'' regained its ''Bezirksliga'' status once more. It finished in the upper half of the table in the following seasons, gaining promotion to the ''Bezirksoberliga Mittelfranken'' in 1996 on the strength of a second place in the league. Landesliga Bayern-Nordost
The Landesliga Bayern-Nordost ( en, State league Bavaria-Northeast) is currently the sixth tier of the German football league system in northeastern Bavaria and the third tier of the Bavarian football league system. It is one of five Landesliga Bayern, Landesligas in Bavaria, the other four being the Landesliga Bayern-Südwest, Landesliga Südwest, Landesliga Bayern-Mitte (2012), Landesliga Mitte, Landesliga Bayern-Nordwest, Landesliga Nordwest and Landesliga Bayern-Südost, Landesliga Südost. The league champion automatically qualifies for the Bayernliga, the runners-up needs to compete with the runners-up of the other four Landesligas and a number of Bayernliga teams for another promotion spot. The Bayernliga (English: Bavarian league) is the highest amateur football league and the second highest football league (under the Regionalliga Bayern) in the state of Bavaria (german: Bayern) and the Bavarian football league system. It is one of fourteen Oberligas in German football, the fifth tier of the German football league system. Until the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008 it was the fourth tier of the league system, until the introduction of the Regionalligas in 1994 the third tier. From the 2012–13 season onwards, the league has been divided once more into a northern and a southern division, having previously placed in single division format since 1963. In sports leagues, promotion and relegation is a process where teams are transferred between multiple divisions based on their performance for the completed season. Leagues that use promotion and relegation systems are often called open leagues. In a system of promotion and relegation, the best-ranked team(s) in the lower division are ''promoted'' to the higher division for the next season, and the worst-ranked team(s) in the higher division are ''relegated'' to the lower division for the next season. The Regionalliga () is the fourth tier in the German football league system. Until 1974, it was the second tier in Germany. In 1994, it was introduced as the third tier. The Landesliga Bayern sits at step 6 of the German football league system and is the third highest level in the Bavarian football league system, below the Bayernliga and organised in five regional divisions. Bezirksoberligen Bayern
The seven Bezirksoberligas Bayern were the third highest level of the Bavarian football league system, below the Bayernliga and the Landesliga Bayern from 1988 to 2012. They were the seventh tier of the German football league system. Until the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008 it was the sixth tier of the league system, until the introduction of the Regionalligas in 1994 the fifth tier.
