FC Shakhtar Horlivka
FC Shakhtar Horlivka ( uk, Шахтар (Горлівка)) was a Ukrainian football club from Horlivka, Donetsk Oblast. Since its relegation from professional leagues in 2000, the club participated in the regional competitions of Donetsk Oblast until the War in Donbass. The club is associated with the coal mining company Artemvuhillya (Artemugol) out of Horlivka. During the Soviet times, the club participated mostly in the republican competitions of the Soviet Ukraine including the competitions of the Soviet Second League. Brief history The club was created back in 1913 as the Football Association of the Gorlovka Artillery Works (FOGAZ). After the World War I and the Russian Civil War, the club was revived and until 1926 competed under its original name. In 1926 it was renamed into FC Metalist Horlivka. Championship Of The Ukrainian SSR
The Championship of the Ukrainian SSR in football was a top competition of association football in the Ukrainian SSR in 1921-91. Number of Ukrainian clubs almost never competed in the championship such as Dynamo Kyiv. The competitions were organized by the Football Federation of the Ukrainian SSR that was created in 1959 in place of the Football Section. Before 1980 selected teams of Moldavian SSR participated in the championship. 1997–98 Amateur championship of Ukraine was the sixth amateur championship of Ukraine and the 34th since the establishment of championship among fitness clubs (KFK) in 1964. 1994–95 Ukrainian Third League
1994–95 Ukrainian Third League was the last season of the experimental Third League. For the following year the league was consolidated into the Druha Liha. All the teams that placed above 17th place were welcome to apply for participation in the Druha Liha along with any successful amateur teams. The season started on August 14, 1994, with the final round being played on July 2, 1995. The newly reformed CSKA won the top awards. However, those medals were snatched from under the nose of the leading Nyva Myronivka who were in the lead with only two rounds to go. Those, together with the Tysmenytsia men, were the main challengers for the gold by the end of the season. This was the last year that the relegated clubs left the league and if Shakhtar Stakhanov was showing some determination for a victory, Zalishchyky were pretty much forced out of the league by various circumstances, such as poor performance.
