FC Lokomotiv Mezdra
FC Lokomotiv Mezdra (ФК Локомотив Мездра) is a Bulgarian football club from the town of Mezdra, which currently playing in the Third League, the third tier of Bulgarian football. The club's home ground is the Lokomotiv Stadium in Mezdra, with a capacity of 5,000. Team colours are red and black. The club's nickname is "The Irons from Mezdra", due to the city of Mezdra's connections with the railroad industry. The club was originally founded in 1945. Lokomotiv saw little success for the majority of its history, usually competing in the second or third tiers of Bulgarian football. In 2008, the team achieved a historic first promotion to the A Group, (now known as First League). Lokomotiv Mezdra managed to survive two seasons in the elite, before suffering relegation after the 2009-10 season. In the following years, financial problems overwhelmed the club, forcing its folding in 2012. The team was re-founded in 2016, starting from the regional amateur fourth tier. ...

Lokomotiv Stadium ( bg, Стадион „Локомотив“) is a multi-purpose stadium in Mezdra, Bulgaria. It is currently used for football matches and it is the home of PFC Lokomotiv Mezdra. The stadium has a capacity of 5,000 spectators and it was built in 1946. *In 2007, when the football club was bought by NADIN AD, several renovations were made to the stadium, to meet the Bulgarian Football Union, BFL's requirements, since Lokomotiv promoted to the A Group for the first time in the club’s history. *There were also plans for a new stadium in place of the current, but due to the global financial crisis, the project's realization is currently on hold. David Silva (Portuguese Footballer)
David Mendes da Silva (born 11 October 1986) is a footballer as a winger for US Mondorf in Luxembourg. He began his career at Porto, where he did not make the first team, and also played in Bulgaria, Scotland, Spain, Finland, Thailand and Luxembourg. Born in Portugal to Cape Verdean parents, he earned seven caps for Cape Verde at full international level. Lokomotiv 1929 Mezdra ( bg, Локомотив 1929 Мездра) was a Bulgarian football club from the city of Mezdra. History The team was founded in 2011 before dissolving of the original club PFC Lokomotiv Mezdra.
