Lokomotiv 1929 Mezdra ( bg, Локомотив 1929 Мездра) was a Bulgarian football club from the city of Mezdra. History The team was founded in 2011 before dissolving of the original club PFC Lokomotiv Mezdra. In 2012 its promoted to V AFG, V Group and gets to the Third Round of the Bulgarian Cup, but its drawn from V Group and send to Regional Group. In 2015 team qualified again for the Bulgarian Cup, but lost in First Round from the Bulgarian champion PFC Ludogorets Razgrad, Ludogorets Razgrad. Lokomotiv Stadium (Mezdra)
Lokomotiv Stadium ( bg, Стадион „Локомотив“) is a multi-purpose stadium in Mezdra, Bulgaria. It is currently used for football matches and it is the home of PFC Lokomotiv Mezdra. The stadium has a capacity of 5,000 spectators and it was built in 1946. *In 2007, when the football club was bought by NADIN AD, several renovations were made to the stadium, to meet the Bulgarian Football Union, BFL's requirements, since Lokomotiv promoted to the A Group for the first time in the club’s history. *There were also plans for a new stadium in place of the current, but due to the global financial crisis, the project's realization is currently on hold. 2012–13 V AFG
The 2012–13 V AFG season was the 63rd season of the Bulgarian V AFG, the third tier of the Bulgarian football league system. The winners of each of the four regional groups progressed to the 2013–14 B PFG and up to four teams from each group were relegated to regional amateur championships. 2015–16 Bulgarian Cup
The 2015–16 Bulgarian Cup was the 34th official edition of the Bulgarian annual football knockout tournament. The competition began on 23 September 2015 with the matches of the First Round and finished with the final on 24 May 2016. Cherno More Varna were the defending champions. For the first time in the history of this competition the winner, CSKA Sofia, came from the third division of Bulgarian football. However as the club was excluded from participating in the 2016–17 European competitions by the UEFA Club Financial Control Body., its place was taken up by the runners-up of the 2015–16 A Group, Levski Sofia, who is entitled to participate in the second qualifying round of the 2016–17 UEFA Europa League. The 2012–13 Bulgarian Cup was the 31st official season of the Bulgarian annual football knockout tournament. The competition began on 13 October 2012 with the matches of the preliminary round and ended with the final on 15 May 2013. Ludogorets Razgrad were the defending champions, but were eliminated by CSKA Sofia in the second round. Beroe Stara Zagora won the title, their second overall, after defeating Levski Sofia in the final by penalties. The winners of the competition, Beroe Stara Zagora, qualified for the second qualifying round of the 2013–14 UEFA Europa League. Bulgarian Cup
The Bulgarian Cup ( bg, Купа на България, Kupa na Bulgaria) is a Bulgarian annual football competition. It is the country's main cup competition and all officially registered Bulgarian football teams take part in it. The tournament's format is ''single-elimination'', with all matches being one-legged, except the semi-finals. The competition's winner gets the right to take part in the UEFA Europa Conference League. If the winner has already secured a place through the Bulgarian A Professional Football Group, the team that has come ''fourth'' in the championship substitutes it. The competition has been dominated by Sofia-based teams. The Sofia teams have won together a total number of 65 titles. The three most successful teams are Levski Sofia (26 cups), CSKA Sofia (21 cups) and Slavia Sofia (8 cups). The current cup holders are Levski Sofia, who beat CSKA Sofia 1–0 in the 2022 final. Mezdra
Mezdra ( bg, Мездра ) is a town in northwestern Bulgaria, part of Vratsa Province. It is located on the left bank of the Iskar River just north of its gorge through the Balkan Mountains. History Although the area around it has been inhabited continuously since prehistoric times, Mezdra remained a small village of 86 residents (1881 census) and continued to decline (76 residents in 1888) until 1893, when the construction of the Sofia-Varna railway began, with workers from all around the country arriving to update the infrastructure. As the village became an important railway junction with the opening of the railway on 20 February 1897, its population grew substantially. Mezdra had a population of 311 in 1900 and 1,015 in 1920. Although it formally remained a village until proclaimed a town on 31 August 1950, Mezdra acquired the appearance of a small town through the work of architects who studied in Western Europe and established the Western European style in the village. The Bulgarian Third Amateur Football League ( bg, Трета аматьорска футболна лига, Treta Amat'orska Futbolna Liga), commonly referred to as Third League ( bg, Трета лига) or Treta liga, is the third level of the Bulgarian football league system. Third League operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the second and the fourth tier of the Bulgarian football league pyramid – respectively being Second League and the A Oblast Groups. Currently Third League consists of four divisions that are formed by separating the country into four regions: ''North-West'', ''South-West'', ''North-East'' and ''South-East''.
