Fábio Lopes Alcântara (; born 24 March 1977), or simply Fábio Lopes, is a former Brazilian-born Hong Kong professional footballer who played as a centre back. Club career He played as a striker for Eastern, having signed from Happy Valley in August 2007. On 17 May 2018, Fabio announced his retirement at the annual Hong Kong Football Awards. However, on 4 June 2018, Yuen Long chairman Wilson Wong stated that Fabio had reversed his decision, and would become a player-coach for the club the following season. He was appointed as Assistant Manager from 15 July 2018 until 31 May 2020. Following Yuen Long's self-relegation, Fabio joined Pegasus as a player-coach on 14 June 2020. 2017–18 Hong Kong Senior Challenge Shield was the 116th season of the Hong Kong Senior Challenge Shield, Hong Kong Senior Shield. 10 teams entered this edition, with two games being played in Round 1 before the Quarter Final stage. The Hong Kong Senior Challenge Shield (), known commonly as the Senior Shield, is the football knockout inter-club competition held in Hong Kong and the fourth oldest football tournament in Asia. Traditionally, only the teams in the Hong Kong Premier League are entered into the competition. However, on occasion teams in lower divisions, usually the champions of the Junior Shield, are invited in order to increase the number of participating teams. The Hong Kong First Division League () is the second-highest division in the Hong Kong football league system. Established in 1908, it is the third oldest in Asia. The league was formerly the highest division in Hong Kong until the formation of the Hong Kong Premier League in 2014.
