Fulvio Pennacchi
Fulvio Pennacchi (December 27, 1905 in Villa Collemandina – October 5, 1992 in São Paulo) was an Italian-Brazilian artist who specialized in painted murals and made ceramics. He was part of the Santa Helena Group, together with Alfredo Volpi, Francisco Rebolo, Aldo Bonadei, Alfredo Rizzotti, Mario Zanini, Humberto Rosa and others. His painting is sensitive and personal, particularly in the interpretation of major biblical themes and the lives of saints, owing to his childhood marked by a Catholic religious education. Humberto Rosa (painter)
Humberto Rosa (January 18, 1908 – 1948) was a Brazilian artist who worked in painting and drawing. He was part of the ''Grupo Santa Helena'' and the ''Família Artística Paulista'' (or "Artistic Family of São Paulo"), but is less known than other members. Unlike most other members, he was neither a proletarian nor an artisan; instead he earned his wage as a drawing teacher, and that was the job he had until the end of life. Rosa was born in Sertãozinho. His family was of Italian immigrants. He started to work very early, giving a hand in his father warehouse. In 1927, he moved to São Paulo, when he started his studies in the '' Escola de Belas de São Paulo'', or "School of Arts of São Paulo". Due to his always frail health and consequent early death, at forty, he was not as productive as the other members of Santa Helena Group. A Caipira () is an ethnic group native to Paulistânia, cultural area in Brazil, the term "''caipira''", of origin in the Paulista General language, probably influenced by the terms "''kai'pira''", "''ka'apir''", "''ka'a pora''" or "''kopira''", from the Tupi language, originally designates, since Brazilian colonial times, the inhabitant of the countryside, the "bush cutter". Mario Zanini
Mario Zanini, or simply Zanini (September 10, 1907 in São Paulo – August 16, 1971 in São Paulo), was a Brazilian painter and interior designer. He was born in a humble family. As a teenager he studied in the '' Escola de Belas de São Paulo'', or "School of Arts of São Paulo". He ran for the major art prizes of the country. Travelled to Europe in 1950 for studying. He was also in the first three São Paulo Art Biennials. He was part of the Grupo Santa Helena, that would be a nucleus for the ''Família Artística Paulista'', or "Artistic Family of São Paulo". What distinguishes him from the average integrants of the ''Grupo do Santa Helena'' and the ''Família Artística Paulista'' were his deep, intense colors, almost naive.
