Grover Cleveland Alexander (February 26, 1887 – November 4, 1950), nicknamed "Old Pete", was an American Major League Baseball pitcher. He played from 1911 through 1930 for the Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago Cubs, and St. Louis Cardinals. He was elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1938. Early life Alexander was born in Elba, Nebraska in the first term of President Grover Cleveland and was one of 13 children. Alexander played semi-professional baseball in his youth, signing his first professional contract at age 20 in 1907 for $50 per month ($ in current dollar terms). In 1909, he played for the Galesburg Boosters in the Class D Illinois–Missouri League and went 15–8 that year with a 1.36 ERA. State Street Methodist Episcopal Church
State Street Methodist Episcopal Church, now known as State Street United Methodist Church, is a historic Methodist Episcopal church located at Fulton in Oswego County, New York. The original section was built in 1894, and expanded in 1900 with the addition of an auditorium in the Akron Plan. It consists of a one-story auditorium with -story education. A basement was added in 1906, and two-story wing in 1962. The church is constructed of red brick and is in the Romanesque style. It has a slate cross-gable roof and two asymmetrical towers. Fulton Public Library is a historic library building located at Fulton in Oswego County, New York. It is a masonry structure built in 1905–1906 in the Beaux-Arts style. The building is built on a steeply sloped lot and is two stories at street level and four stories behind. It was designed and built with funds provided by the philanthropist Andrew Carnegie. It is one of 3,000 such libraries constructed between 1885 and 1919, and one of 107 in New York State. Carnegie provided $15,000 toward the construction of the Fulton library.
