Fritz Briel
Fritz Briel (24 October 1934 – 15 March 2017) was a German sprint canoeist, born in Düsseldorf, who competed in from the late 1950s to the late 1960s. He won a silver medal in the K-2 10000 m event at the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne. The ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships are an international event in canoe racing, one of two Summer Olympic sport events organized by the International Canoe Federation (the other being the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships).
