Hanau
Hanau () is a town in the Main-Kinzig-Kreis, in Hesse, Germany. It is located 25 km east of Frankfurt, Frankfurt am Main and is part of the Frankfurt Rhine-Main, Frankfurt Rhine-Main Metropolitan Region. Its Hanau Hauptbahnhof, station is a major railway junction and it has a port on the river Main (river), Main, making it an important transport centre. The town is known for being the birthplace of Brothers Grimm, Jakob and Wilhelm Grimm and Franciscus Sylvius. Since the 16th century it was a centre of precious metal working with many goldsmiths. It is home to Heraeus, one of the largest family-owned companies in Germany. Hanau, once the seat of the Counts of Hanau, lost much of its architectural heritage in World War II. ''Rasputin, The Prince of Sinners'' (German: ''Dornenweg einer Fürstin''), or simply ''Rasputin'', is a 1928 German-Soviet drama film co-directed by Nikolai Larin and Boris Nevolin and starring Vladimir Gajdarov, Suzanne Delmas and Ernst Rückert. The film's poster showed the tagline "rysslands onda ande", which translates as "Russia's Evil Spirit". It was shot at the Johannisthal Studios in Berlin. It was based on a story by the Hungarian writer Arthur Bárdos and Margarete-Maria Langen. The film was a co-production made under an agreement between Gainsborough Pictures and the German studio Felsom-Film and was shot in Berlin. After the passage of the Cinematograph Films Act 1927 by the British Parliament it was classified under the terms of the Act as a foreign film and only received a limited release in Britain. ''Café Elektric'' (1927) is an Austrian film directed by Gustav Ucicky. Plot Erni (Marlene Dietrich), the daughter of a wealthy industrialist Göttlinger (Fritz Alberti) falls for a pickpocket Fredl (Willi Forst), but Fredl prefers Hansi (Nina Vanna), a prostitute at the Café Elektric.
