Frits Soetekouw
Frits Soetekouw (6 June 1938 – 3 May 2019) was a Dutch Association football, footballer who played as a defender (association football), defender. Biography Born in Amsterdam, Soetekouw played at club level between 1961 and 1971. He played for AVV De Volewijckers, De Volewijckers, Heracles Almelo, Heracles, AFC Ajax, Ajax, PSV Eindhoven, PSV and AFC DWS, DWS. He briefly Captain (association football), captained Ajax, notably in the side's Ajax 5–1 Liverpool (1966), 5–1 win against Liverpool F.C., Liverpool in 1966. He also once appeared for the Netherlands national football team, Netherlands national team in 1962. Soetekouw died on 3 May 2019, at the age of 80.
