Frisco Peak is a summit near the north‑center edge of Beaver County, Utah, United States. Description The peak, elevation , is located within the San Francisco Mountains range and is the highest peak within the range. It looks over the Wah Wah Valley to the west. Because of its relative location and elevation, it is the site of multiple radio transmission facilities. The name of the peak is a contraction of the mountain range in which it is located. Beaver County, Utah
Beaver County is a county in west central Utah, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the population was 6,629. Its county seat and largest city is Beaver. The county was named for the abundance of beaver in the area. History Explorers of European descent first visited present-day Beaver County in 1776 Domínguez-Escalante Expedition. The proposed territory of Deseret (soon changed to Utah Territory) began with the arrival of Mormon pioneers in 1847. After the immediate Great Salt Lake City area was settled, settlers moved into more outlying areas, including the future Beaver County area. The county was created by the Utah territorial legislature from a section of Iron County on January 5, 1856, before the settlement of Beaver town was founded later that year. San Francisco Mountains (Utah)
The San Francisco Mountains are a mountain range located in north‑central Beaver County, Utah, United States that extend into central-south Millard County. Description The range is connected in the northeast to the Cricket Mountains with the same Basin and Range, southwest by northeast lineage. Both ranges form the eastern border of the ''Wah Wah Valley Hardpan'' and the usually dry Sevier Lake which both have the same northeasterly trendline. The region is in the southwest of the Sevier Desert, and the southwest Great Basin Desert. The range is linear, with a high peaks section in the southwest; the northeast lower elevation foothills merge into the Cricket Mountains. Wah Wah Valley
Wah Wah Valley is an endorheic (internal drainage) valley within the Basin and Range of west-central Utah, United States. Description The valley is bound by the Wah Wah Mountains to the west and south and the San Francisco Mountains to the east. The northern part of the valley bifurcates around the southern end of the House Range, leading into Tule Valley to the northwest and the Sevier Desert-(Sevier Lake region), to the northeast. The 'Wah Wah' name comes from Wah Wah Springs, on the eastern slope of the Wah Wah Mountain range. 'Wah Wah' is reported to mean "good clear water".
