Frederick Barend Christoffel Kirsten (born ) is a former South African rugby union professional footballer that played as a prop. He represented the in the international Super Rugby competition between 2009 and 2014 and the in the domestic Currie Cup and Vodacom Cup competitions between 2008 and 2013, making 81 first class appearances for the Pretoria-based side. After making his first class debut during the 2008 Vodacom Cup, he made his Super Rugby debut against the in 2009 and his Currie Cup debut in 2009 against in the same year. Sandton
Sandton is an upscale commercial and residential district north of the city of Johannesburg, South Africa. It forms part of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality. The name of the city came from the combination of two of its suburbs, Sandown and Bryanston. In 1969, Sandton was promulgated as a municipality in its own right, but lost its status as an independent city after the re-organisation of South African local governments after Apartheid ended. 2008 Vodacom Cup
The 2008 Vodacom Cup was played between 22 February and 16 May 2008 and was the 11th edition of this annual domestic cup competition. This edition of the Vodacom Cup was played between the fourteen provincial rugby union teams in South Africa from the Currie Cup Premier and First Divisions. Competition There were fourteen teams participating in the 2008 Vodacom Cup competition. These teams were geographically divided into two sections - the Northern Section and the Southern Section – with seven teams in each section. Teams played all the teams in the other section once over the course of the season, either at home or away. Teams received four points for a win and two points for a draw. Bonus points were awarded to teams that scored four or more tries in a game, as well as to teams that lost a match by seven points or less. Jozua Francois Malherbe (born 14 March 1991) is a South African rugby union professional player. He plays as a tighthead prop for the South Africa national team and the in the United Rugby Championship. Early life Malherbe attended Paarl Boys' High School, where he also captained the First Rugby team to victory in Interschools in his Matric year. Career Malherbe made both his senior Western Province and Stormers debuts in 2011, however it was the following year when he fully cemented his place in both sides. He played in every Stormers match during the 2012 Super Rugby season and only missed one match in Western Province's successful 2012 Currie Cup Premier Division campaign when he provided injury cover for squad on their tour of Australasia.
