Armando Frigo
Armando Frigo (5 August 1917 – 10 September 1943) was an Italian-American football (soccer) player who played as a midfielder. He was known as the second American-born player after Alfonso Negro to have played in Serie A. Early life Frigo was born in Clinton, Indiana, from Italian parents. When he was eight, his family decided to relocate to Vicenza, where he grew up. Football career Frigo started with his hometown team Vicenza in Serie C. He was transferred to Fiorentina for the 1937–39 season, where he played 21 games and scored five goals. He went on to play a total of 46 games and scored seven goals. At the end of the 1941-42 season, he moved on to play for Spezia in Serie B. Death Armando Frigo served as a second lieutenant in the Italian Army infantry during World War II. Dario Frigo (born 18 September 1973) is an Italian former professional road bicycle racer. Career Frigo's transition to professional began at the 1995 Giro del Veneto, riding as a stagiaire for . In 1996, he was officially signed to Saeco on a four-year contract. In 1999, he obtained his first victory at the Dekra Open, in Germany. In 2000, he joined the Fassa Bortolo team and achieved success, winning the Giro di Campania, as well as a stage of the Giro del Trentino. He also finished second overall in the Tour de Suisse. More success came for him in early 2001, when he won the time trial at the Col d'Èze and the overall classification of Paris–Nice, as well as the general classification of the Tour de Romandie. Franco Frigo (born 13 August 1950, in Cittadella) is an Italian politician from Veneto. A long-time Christian Democrat, he was President of the Province of Padua from 1985 to 1990. He was first elected to the Regional Council of Veneto in 1990 and in the midst of the ''Tangentopoli'' scandals he was briefly President of Veneto (1992–1993). Giuseppe Frigo (30 March 1935 – 7 December 2019) was an Italian judge. He was a judge on the Constitutional Court of Italy from 23 October 2008 to 7 November 2016. Career Frigo was born in Brescia. He was elected to the Constitutional Court by the Italian Parliament with 689 out of 952 votes on 21 October 2008, and he was sworn in two days later. He retired on 7 November 2016, citing health reasons. He died on 7 December 2019 in Brescia. Johnny Frigo
Johnny Frigo (December 27, 1916 – July 4, 2007) was an American jazz violinist, bassist and songwriter. He appeared in the 1940s as a violinist before working as a bassist. He returned to the violin in the 1980s and enjoyed a comeback, recording several albums as a leader. Biography Frigo was born in Chicago and studied violin for three years beginning at age seven. In high school he started to play double bass in dance orchestras. In 1942 he played with Chico Marx's orchestra and performed a comedy routine on violin with Marx on piano. He entered the United States Coast Guard during World War II and played in a band on Ellis Island with Al Haig and Kai Winding. After a brief turn at active service near the end of the war he moved to New Jersey. He toured with Jimmy Dorsey's band from 1945 to 1947, later forming the Soft Winds trio with Dorsey's guitarist Herb Ellis and pianist Lou Carter. Leo Frigo
Leo Gaetano Giacomo Frigo (July 3, 1931 – February 13, 2001) was a civic and philanthropic leader in the Green Bay, Wisconsin, area. Life Frigo was born on July 3, 1931, to Pasquale Frigo and Camilla née Rocheleau Frigo in Pound, Wisconsin. His father established the Frigo Brothers cheese company of Iron Mountain together with his four brothers in 1939. Leo Frigo eventually became director of the company's Lena plant, the Frigo Cheese Corporation, and then its president. He retired from the company in 1983. He died on February 13, 2001, due to injuries from a car accident while delivering food to the needy. Legacy Frigo's legacy includes one of the largest food pantry programs in the nation for feeding the hungry, Paul's Pantry. Rudi Frigo (born 31 January 1974) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with the Brisbane Bears in the Australian Football League (AFL). Frigo was a key position player, occasionally called on to ruck. After the 1991 AFL season concluded, Frigo was one of eight young Queensland based players who were signed by Brisbane as "zone clearing" concession picks.
