Fremont Union High School District
Fremont Union High School District (abbreviated FUHSD) is a school district in Silicon Valley, California. It serves the communities of Cupertino, Sunnyvale, San Jose, Los Altos, Saratoga, and Santa Clara. History Founded in 1923 as the West Side Union High School District, the district served the agricultural Fremont Township in the West Valley region, and still serves the regions covered by the former Township today. It originally had only one school (called West Side Union High School), which operated in a few rooms of the Sunnyvale Grammar School building, before relocating to the intersection of Fremont Avenue and Highway 9 (now Sunnyvale-Saratoga Road). Two years later, in 1925, the district received its present name and its only school was renamed " Fremont High School". Monta Vista High School is a four-year Public school (government funded), public high school located in the Silicon Valley city of Cupertino, California, Cupertino, California, US. Part of the Fremont Union High School District, the school serves most of the suburban residential and industrial technology enriched area of western Cupertino. In 2016, Monta Vista was ranked by ''Newsweek'' as the 18th best high school in the United States. History Monta Vista High opened in 1969. Cupertino High School, colloquially referred to as "Tino", "CHS", is a four-year comprehensive public high school located near the Rancho Rinconada and Fairgrove neighborhoods of Cupertino, California, USA. Fremont High School is a co-educational, public high school in Sunnyvale, California, United States. Fremont is currently the only open public high school located in the city of Sunnyvale and is part of the Fremont Union High School District (FUHSD). History Fremont High School was originally named West Side Union High School, the first school opened in the West Side Union High School District. In 1923, it opened in rooms of the Sunnyvale Grammar School as the only high school in the Sunnyvale–Cupertino ( West Valley) area, and then moved to a temporary building after purchase of the school site in 1923. Rancho Rinconada
Rancho Rinconada is a residential neighborhood in the eastern part of Cupertino, California. It is bordered by Saratoga Creek (just west of Lawrence Expressway), Stevens Creek Boulevard, Miller Avenue and Bollinger Road. It is bordered by the West San Jose neighborhood to the east and south, central Cupertino to the west, and the city of Santa Clara to the north. Cupertino High School, Sedgwick Elementary School, and Hyde Middle School serve Rancho Rinconada.
