London Boys were a German-based United Kingdom, British dance-pop Musical duo, duo composed of Edem Ephraim (1 July 1959, London, UK – 21 January 1996) and Dennis Fuller (19 June 1959, Jamaica – 21 January 1996). They are best remembered for the UK Top 5 hits "Requiem (London Boys song), Requiem" and "London Nights (song), London Nights". The duo were killed when their car was hit by a drunk driver in the Eastern Alps, Austria, on 21 January 1996. ''Record Mirror'' was a British weekly music newspaper between 1954 and 1991 for pop fans and record collectors. Launched two years after the ''NME'', it never attained the circulation of its rival. The first UK album chart was published in ''Record Mirror'' in 1956, and during the 1980s it was the only consumer music paper to carry the official UK singles and UK albums charts used by the BBC for Radio 1 and ''Top of the Pops'', as well as the US ''Billboard'' charts. Teldec (Telefunken-Decca Schallplatten GmbH) is a German record label in Hamburg, Germany. Today the label is a property of Warner Music Group. History Teldec was a producer of (first) shellac and (later) vinyl records. The Teldec manufacturing facility was located in Nortorf near Kiel in Germany. The company was founded in 1950 as a co-operation between Telefunken and Decca Records. The name Teldec is the result of taking the first three letters of both labels: Telefunken and Decca. Records manufactured by Teldec mostly were released under the Telefunken or Decca label, but normally these records contained no hint that they were made by Teldec. In 1983, Telefunken and Decca pulled out of Teldec and in 1987 Teldec was sold to Time Warner. "Chapel of Love" is Europop duo London Boys' first single of 1990 from the album '' Sweet Soul Music''. The single was written and produced by Ralf René Maué, and peaked at #75 in the UK. The single wasn't available on 7" vinyl in the UK but on 12" and CD instead. 7" versions were released in Germany. The single version replaces the album version's backing lyrics of "forever and a day" with "crying". The single was written and produced by Ralf René Maué, and was the first since the duo's rise to fame not to be released in the UK. The single had a promotional music video created to support the track. This became the last promo video for the duo although there was a video for 1995 single "Gospel Train to London" which was released under the name The New London Boys, despite being the same duo.
