Frederick Chatfield Smith
Frederic Chatfield Smith (11 June 1823 – 20 April 1905) was head of Smith's Bank in Nottingham and a British Conservative Party politician. Smith was the son of Samuel George Smith (1789-1863), of Goldings, Hertfordshire and his wife Eugenia Chatfield (1803-1838). Smith entered the House of Commons as Member of Parliament (MP) for Nottinghamshire North when he was elected unopposed at the 1868 general election. He was re-elected unopposed in 1874, and stood down at the 1880. Frederic Chatfield Smith bought "Bramcote Hall" in Bramcote (Nottinghamshire) from Mr. Wilmot as home for his family and enlarged it considerably. Built in the early part of the nineteenth century, it was demolished in 1966. Nottinghamshire (; abbreviated Notts.) is a landlocked county in the East Midlands region of England, bordering South Yorkshire to the north-west, Lincolnshire to the east, Leicestershire to the south, and Derbyshire to the west. The traditional county town is Nottingham, though the county council is based at County Hall in West Bridgford in the borough of Rushcliffe, at a site facing Nottingham over the River Trent. Cecil George Savile Foljambe, 1st Earl of Liverpool, (7 November 1846 – 23 March 1907), known as The Lord Hawkesbury between 1893 and 1905, was a British Liberal politician. A great-nephew of Prime Minister Robert Jenkinson, 2nd Earl of Liverpool, he was Lord Steward of the Household under Sir Henry Campbell-Bannerman between 1905 and his death in 1907. He was the grandson of Sir Cecil Bishopp, 6th Baronet of Parham, his namesake. Foljambe was a noted ornithologist and was once visited by a young Franklin D. George Monckton-Arundell, 7th Viscount Galway
George Edmund Milnes Monckton-Arundell, 7th Viscount Galway, CB (18 November 1844 – 7 March 1931) was a British Conservative politician and courtier. Biography Galway was the son of George Monckton-Arundell, 6th Viscount Galway, and his wife and first cousin Henrietta Maria, daughter of Robert Pemberton Milnes and sister of Richard Monckton Milnes, 1st Baron Houghton. He was educated at Eton and Christ Church, Oxford. He entered Parliament for Nottinghamshire North in an 1872 by-election, a seat he held until 1885 when the constituency was abolished. He succeeded his father in the viscountcy in 1876 but as this was an Irish peerage he did not have to resign his seat in the House of Commons. John Evelyn Denison, 1st Viscount Ossington, PC (27 January 1800 – 7 March 1873) was a British statesman who served as Speaker of the House of Commons from 1857 to 1872. He is the eponym of Speaker Denison's rule. Lord Edward Pelham-Clinton
Lieutenant-Colonel Lord Edward William Pelham-Clinton (11 August 1836 – 9 July 1907), known as Lord Edward Clinton, was a British Liberal Party politician. Life Clinton was the second son of Henry Pelham-Clinton, 5th Duke of Newcastle and his wife Lady Susan Hamilton and educated at Eton until 1853. He joined the Rifle Brigade as an ensign in 1854 and served in the Crimea after the fall of Sebastopol. He reached the rank of captain in 1857 and spent 5 years in Canada (1861–1865). In 1878 he attained the rank of lieutenant colonel and retired in 1880 while posted in India. Clinton was elected unopposed at the 1865 general election as Member of Parliament (MP) for North Nottinghamshire, but did not seek re-election in 1868.
