Fred Spencer
Fred Spencer (May 1, 1904 – November 11, 1938) was an American animator who worked at Walt Disney Productions. He was considered an authority on Donald Duck and wrote an influential analysis of the character. Career Spencer joined Walt Disney Productions in 1931 and first worked on several early '' Mickey Mouse'' cartoons. In 1932 he began independently producing a two-tier Mickey Mouse comic strip, even though he was not connected with the comics department at Disney. 'Donald's Penguin' is a Donald Duck animated Technicolor short film by Walt Disney Productions and directed by Jack King, which was originally released on May 16, 1939, by RKO Radio Pictures. The story was written by Carl Barks. Plot Donald Duck adopts a cute and feisty baby penguin called Tootsie. Tootsie is a gift from the unseen character Admiral Bird. At first, surprised that his charge is a baby penguin, Donald grows fond of her. But when he mistakenly thought she ate his three goldfish, Donald becomes angry and spanks Tootsie. ''The Fox Hunt'' is a 1938 animated short film produced by Walt Disney Productions and released by RKO Radio Pictures. The film stars Donald Duck and Goofy on a traditional English fox hunt. Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Horace Horsecollar, and Clara Cluck also make brief cameos.
