Fred Miller (American Football, Born 1906)
Frederick C. Miller (January 26, 1906 – December 17, 1954) was a college football player, an All-American Tackle (gridiron football position), tackle under head coach Knute Rockne at the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football, University of Notre Dame, posthumously elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 1985. He later served as an unpaid assistant coach for the Irish, flying in from Milwaukee several times a week. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Miller was the son of Carl A. Miller of Germany, and Clara Miller (no relation), a daughter of Miller Brewing Company founder Frederick Miller, also a German immigrant. Succeeding his younger cousin Harry G. Fred Miller (Australian Politician)
Frederick Joseph (Fred) Miller (4 January 19261 May 1992) was an Australian politician and member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly from 1981 until 1984. He was a member of the Labor Party (ALP). Miller was born in Surry Hills, in inner Sydney. He was educated at Sydney Technical College and worked as a plumber employed by South Sydney Council and the New South Wales Department of Health. He was a member of the Sydney City Council from 1969 until 1974. Miller was elected to the New South Wales Parliament for the seat of Bligh at the 1981 state election when he defeated the sitting member, John Barraclough, during a landslide win for the Wran Labor Government. Frederick John William Miller (born 5 November 1911 in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, Northumberland, died 30 March 1996) was a British paediatrician, who made critically important contributions in describing tuberculosis in childhood, including the definition of the treatment and control, of the disease. Along with Sir James Spence and Sir Donald Court, Fred Miller were responsible for the formulation of the major epidemiological cohort study called the Newcastle Thousand Families Study. After that the group was called the ''Newcastle Trio'' in the medical community. Fred W. Miller is an American media producer, teacher and consultant. Personal life Born in East Texas to Rupert and Era Miller (January 23, 1943), he was raised in Texas. His father was a minister who served several congregations in the state. He is married to Kathryn Buffington Miller (1967) and has one son, Browning Blake Miller (born 1972). Miller and his wife reside in Austin, Texas. Education and early career Miller attended Baylor University and studied Communications, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in 1966. Following his graduation from Baylor and marriage to Kathryn Buffington, Miller entered the Metropolitan Urban Study Program in New York City directed by Bill Webber of East Harlem Protestant Parish. Frederick Miller (1863 – 6 November 1924) was a British journalist, who briefly became editor of '' The Daily Telegraph'' from the year 1923 to 1924. Biography Miller was born in Dundee. He attended the High School of Dundee and the University of Edinburgh, and after graduating joined '' The Scotsman''. Within a matter of weeks, he was recommended for the post of assistant sub-editor of the ''Telegraph'', beginning an association with the newspaper of over forty years. In 1885, he was appointed chief sub-editor, but a golf accident that caused him to lose his eye led to his transferral to outdoor duty as a reporter for some months. In 1900, he was appointed an assistant to the editor, Sir John le Sage, later becoming his chief assistant. Taking the position of assistant editor in 1914, he went to Paris soon after the outbreak of the First World War to organise the ''Telegraphs reporting.
