Freak (Silverchair Song)
"Freak" is a 1997 song by Australian rock band Silverchair, released as the first single from their second album, ''Freak Show'' (1997). The song reached number one on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart, Silverchair's second single to do so after " Tomorrow" in 1994. The band would not have another number-one hit until " Straight Lines" in 2007. One of the B-sides of the single is a cover of "New Race" by Australian band Radio Birdman. Music video The music video for "Freak" was directed by Gerald Casale, a member of Devo. The video was filmed in Los Angeles, California, on 5 and 6 December 1996. The video features the band playing in an oven-chamber, monitored by a scientist in a control room. Their sweat is collected by a doctor and taken to an elderly woman in an adjoining room. The doctor touches part of her flesh with the sweat, and it smoothens. The doctor injects a large amount of sweat into the woman, and she regresses to being middle-aged. Silverchair
Silverchair were an Australian Rock music, rock band, which formed in 1992 as Innocent Criminals in Newcastle, New South Wales, with Ben Gillies on drums, Daniel Johns on vocals and guitars, and Chris Joannou on bass guitar. The group got their big break in mid-1994 when they won a national demo competition conducted by SBS (Australian TV channel), SBS TV show ''Nomad'' and ABC radio station Triple J. The band was signed by Murmur (record label), Murmur and were successful in Australia and internationally. Silverchair have sold over 10 million albums worldwide. ''Daria'' is an American adult animation, adult animated sitcom created by Glenn Eichler and Susie Lewis, Susie Lewis Lynn. The series ran from March 3, 1997, to January 21, 2002, on MTV. "Undecided" is the debut single by Australian rock group, the Masters Apprentices, which was issued in October 1966 on Astor Records. It was included on ''The Masters Apprentices'' debut EP and ''The Masters Apprentices'' debut studio album, both released in 1967. The ''Across the Great Divide Tour'' was a live album, live DVD and release by Australian Rock music, rock bands Powderfinger and Silverchair. Released on 1 December 2007, it followed two Melbourne concerts during the bands' two-month-long nationwide tour, titled the Across the Great Divide tour, ''Across the Great Divide'' tour. The DVD was produced by filming company PVC Live, who have produced DVD releases for U2, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Radiohead. It was mixed in the United States in 5.1 surround sound, and filmed with 24 cameras. The DVD included a 90-minute documentary titled ''Behind the Great Divide'', which followed the band members during the different concerts and events of the tour.
