Fraser High School (FHS) is a secondary school in Hamilton, New Zealand. The school began in 1920 as Hamilton Technical Day School (later amended to Hamilton's Technical High School in 1924). History In 1970, the school moved to the northwest suburbs of Hamilton and was re-established as a comprehensive co-educational secondary school. In 1969 while still at the Hamilton Technical College site the school was called Fraser High School under principal Dave Campbell. The school took its name from the original Principal, Whampoa Fraser. In 1998 the name was modified slightly to Hamilton's Fraser High School to reflect their historical link to Hamilton Technical Day School, and to give a stronger geographical link to Hamilton. The Māori name of the school is ''Te Kura Tuarua o Taniwharau''. Hamilton ( mi, Kirikiriroa) is an inland city in the North Island of New Zealand. Located on the banks of the Waikato River, it is the seat and most populous city of the Waikato region. Duane Benjamin Bailey (born 28 October 1991) is a New Zealand former professional basketball player who played in the New Zealand NBL and the Australian NBL. Marco Rodrigo Rojas (born 5 November 1991) is a New Zealand professional footballer who plays as a forward for Chilean side Colo-Colo and the New Zealand national team. Alex John Pledger (born 27 March 1987) is a New Zealand professional basketball player who last played for the Southland Sharks of the New Zealand National Basketball League (NZNBL). He played college basketball in the United States before playing nine seasons with the New Zealand Breakers in the Australian NBL, where he won four championships. The Chiefs (formerly known as the Waikato Chiefs and officially called the Gallagher Chiefs for sponsorship reasons) are a New Zealand professional rugby union team based in Hamilton, Waikato. Greg Smith (rugby Union, Born 1974)
Gregory James Smith (born 14 July 1974) is a former professional rugby union footballer, who played as a hooker. Career Smith was born and raised in New Zealand but he qualified to play for Fiji because his father was born there. He was first selected for Fiji by former coach Brad Johnstone on the recommendation of Waikato's John Boe. He toured the UK with the Fiji team in 1995 and he made his debut against Wales which Fiji lost by 21–22. He joined the Waikato Rugby Union after that and he made it into the Chiefs squad for the Super 12 competition. The New Zealand Breakers (also known as the Sky Sport Breakers for sponsorship reasons) are a New Zealand professional basketball team based in Auckland.
